“If you’re looking for a local, simple place to stop in for a sandwich or a curated wine selection, this is the place for you. Very friendly and personable service. They mainly only do sandwiches but those sandwiches clearly use quality, flavorful ingredients and was made very quickly. They have a potato-bun style gluten free bread that tastes excellent and holds together, too.
I’d be happy to return, especially if I need wine advice!”

But because they're part of the Neighborhood Restaurant Group, they receive some truly rare beers that not even the best beer shops can get their hands on! Prices are fair. Staff is very knowledgeable.Recommendation is to open up more of their selection to both The Front Porch and Evening Star Cafe”
“As soon as I walked through the door I was welcomed with a friendly smile and a kind greeting. As I was walking around trying to find the different bottles I wanted one of the employees, Zen, offered to help me. He helped me find everything I needed and made recommendations on better options for what I wanted. He made everything so much easier and saved me so much time. Absolutely fantastic employee! He was so helpful and nice, I can't say enough good things about him. Now I know which store to always go to!”

“It's a liquor store, whats there to say?Parking is a hassle. I always park in front of the movie theater and run across the street. I prefer to drive to Rose Hill shopping center ABC. Easy in and out. ABC is always well stocked and courteous clerks.”
“I thought the GPS must have been wrong for saying an ABC store was at this location. I was thinking it must be a hardware store named ABC!!! LOL. I ordered online in my car and immediately walked in. I told him I ordered online. He said nobody ordered online. I said I literally just did! He said wow, you're actually the very 1st person to ever order online here! I was baffled. I asked even during covid. I assumed someone I never realized an ABC store was there. He said they've been only open 2 weeks and most people don't realize it's now an ABC store. He said I was THE VERY 1ST PERSON TO ORDER ONLINE AT THIS STORE! I'm a trendsetter! Lol. I guess I need to set up a TIC TACK ACCOUNT LOL. Great service. ?”
“Expensive. Little choice. This is because Virginia has a state monopoly on alcohol. In neighboring states [DC, Maryland] there is more choice and prices are lower (competition). Delaware has no competition, since there is no sales tax”

“My husband loves this place. He knows everyone here by first name. During Covid it was hard but he said that the employees would stand outside with the customers and talk with them so things ran smoothly. Above and beyond isn't a strong enough statement.”
“I had The Gathering Catering package at work last month. I normally don't care for a pinwheel, but Wegman's pinwheel with Caesar salad was delicious!!I enjoyed the nice lemony dressing with Romain lettuce. the mini croissant sandwiches had very good flavor. I am not big on finger food, but I couldn't get enough of it. I am definitely going to use them for catering from now on.”

“I have been to a lot of grocery stores and I’ve never been compelled to write a review. I’ve also been to a number of Harris Teeter locations equally unmotivated to write a review. HOWEVER, I had to pause and not just saying praises about this particular location, but I have consistently received extraordinary customer service at this Harris Teeter ALEXANDRIA location. Tonight was no exception, but it was VERY special.
I had an online order that I placed and scheduled for pick up around my regular time to get off of work. I am the Director of community relations in a very vibrant and bustling senior living community and my day did not end at the time I anticipated. I missed my pick up window and when I tried to check in, I was not able to so I thought that I would just reschedule and pick it up another time the associate handling my order named Kenneth went above and beyond to make sure that I received what I ordered. I have seen Kenneth many times in the store before today and he is always serving with that same positivity that has been my experience consistently and I had to share today that it isn’t the product on the shelf that makes a person a loyal customer. It’s the way that they are treated and I am happy to say that I’ve always had a great experience at this Harris Teeter so kudos to the team and a big thank you to Kenneth because he truly made my day.”
“Had a great first time shopping here yesterday. I needed help picking out a bunch of liquor to stock my bar for a party this weekend. The guy (I think his name was Jeff) who helped me was super patient, helping me pick out drinks in every category. He also helped me get some great sales!”
“We love this spot and so does our pup. It’s a really nice place to sit outside and enjoy a drink or a snack, and we really love the ginger cookies they usually have for dogs. The French toast and pancakes were great additions to the menu.”

“I was a huge fan of HT when I lived in Arlington, but after moving back to Boston in 2020 I haven't been able to do much shopping there! I was visiting for one night and had a hair appointment in one of the salons above the store, so I stopped in afterwards for something to eat while waiting for the plane home. There are not a lot of stores where I would expect a pre-made salad to be good (and not soggy!), but I knew HT's would come through and it was delicious. It was $7 or 8 and (at least) half the price of what I would have paid for a crappy salad at DCA. The store was clean, self-checkout never fails and if I had more time I would have wandered around much longer.”
“This is a huge location. There is underground parking garage. Lots of selection including hot and cold food bars. There is a place to eat inside. There is also a big floral department.”

Every visit feels like a discovery, but my favorite find so far has been the Poire Granit cider from the Loire Valley in France — crisp, elegant, and unforgettable.
