“Westminster has been such an incredible experience for our whole family. It is such a unique place that instills a culture of acceptance, diversity, compassion, and excellence.I'm really impressed with how they've handled themselves during Covid -- they seem to be the only ones that have their act together amongst both public and private schools. They didn't even skip a beat! They have a very strong curriculum that is unmatched, and really I appreciate how they place such an emphasis on developing courteous, cultured, and well-rounded individuals.Every aspect of the school is so intentionally thought-out for the benefit of the children. Their classical education program is impressive and very hard to come by these days. They also have a pretty stelar arts program, giving kids the ability to express themselves through music, theatre, dance, art, literature, etc. To top it off, the community aspect at Westminster is so beautiful. It's more than a school, it's a family unit -- a second home. I wish we had more programs and places like Westminster School in the world! I highly recommend it for kids pre-K through 8!”

“We have had our son enrolled at Grasshopper Green for 2 academic years as well as during the summers. The staff is incredible; they are supportive and willing to work with parents in addressing behavioral issues as a team. I also appreciate the quality of education and the classroom method and structure. I highly, highly recommend this school. We are so thankful for Ms. Alison and her entire staff!!!”

“Oh how I am Beyond happy that I found this phenomenal school for my son and to top it off the staff is AMAZING. Ms. Mariella and Ms. Sandra are the best that I could ever ask for! They are perfect, they are accommodating, they are communicators, they go above and beyond and I love it! I love the monthly newsletters they keep me involved and aware of what’s going on. I love that my son brings home a project every day our wall is so full of all his amazing art work. The facility is clean and very inviting changing out the bulletin boards each month. All staff wear mask, they label EVERYTHING lol and then send home daily notes explaining each child’s day from how much they ate, to how many times they potty, how wonderful is that!I wouldn’t choose anywhere else and we will be here as long as I am in this area!”

“ACCA is an acronym for Annandale Christian Community for Action. ACCA is a church-supported voluntary organization providing rental assistance, day care, emergency food delivery, Meals on Wheels, basic furniture delivery, housing repair, transportation to medial appointments, family emergency financial assistance, student scholarships and other services to needy families in the area. They have a child development center and a food pantry on-site & all ACCA services, except the Child Development Center, are provided by volunteers at no cost to those who need them. They were founded over 50 years go by Fred & Emily Ruffing, a local family from Alexandria, VA, who were going through hardships themselves. They organized a meeting with representatives from eight local churches to set up a day care center to provide assistance to the working poor. They marshaled support from the county and from local donors & succeeded in meeting the needs! Annandale Christian Community for Action branched out into other activities, all under the banner of "doing what Jesus would do". The organization started with eight churches and currently has a membership of 26.I have been doing food delivery for them for years and I also bring clothing & household donations from my school & my home. The beautiful thing about donating is it is all put out on table for folks to simply take what they need - no cost! So it to literally goes directly to the community. They accept food donations, clothing, toys, household, school supplies, you name it, and you can also donate financially. To request assistance from ACCA, please contact the Fairfax County Coordinated Services Planning office at 703-222-0880.I can't say enough good things about this community non-profit organization other than PLEASE SUPPORT!”
