“My daughter has been attending ESBP in Georgetown for about 11/2 years, and we are delighted! It is challenging for a parent to leave their kids somewhere else every day, but I feel at peace when I drop off my little girl at ESBP because I know she is in a caring environment. It is not only about my daughter. The caregivers are genuinely loving and professional at their work. I've seen repetitively how the teachers are so patient with the kids and handle situations very constructively. All the kids are spoken in Spanish, and it is incredible to hear the children using it even when it isn't their language at home. I love ESBP and highly recommend it!”

“Our little one has been at Merit School since I returned from maternity leave, almost a year ago. We’ve been so happy there. He’s thriving socially and developmentally, and we can tell he really feels loved by all the staff. His pediatrician is so impressed with how he’s doing on all fronts. The fact that Merit School provides all food for one year olds and older is a huge time saver for us and also means he gets exposed to even more foods than we can expose him to at home.”

“Our 22-month-old son attended daycare at Busy Bee for over six months and loved it! Every day he was excited to go to school, and he never wanted to leave. Everyone on the staff is friendly, caring, and professional. It was truly a pleasure to be part of this community, I cannot recommend it enough!”

“Our family has been very happy with Blue Bird. Our oldest is always happy to arrive at school and at pick up. The teachers are truly passionate, and the kids' care has been beyond our expectations. Our daughter continues to expand her Spanish and gets to practice every day through the curriculum and teachers! Every day we receive a report card and little notes from the teachers, along with daily worksheets. We've been amazed at how her writing skills have come along and excited for her to start learning math. We highly recommend checking out Blue Bird for your kids! The teachers and admin team are wonderful, and the care and nurturing the children receive is top level.”

“We are happy to find Rock Spring! My little one loves going there. And, it's not just a school. It's a very loving, warm and welcoming community for kids and parents. Also, they take security seriously, so I feel safe sending my son there.”

“We have been at the Bright horizon for over 2 years and just love the center, more importantly the staff and the administration, who designed the curriculum and activities for our kids. It is refreshing to see the in person activities, providing us a chance to get to see our kids in their environment, since we joined Bright horizon during covid times when they were less in person interaction.”

“Our kiddo started at AUCP this year and we could not be happier. He absolutely LOVES going to school - his teachers are kind, caring, silly and nurturing. The community itself is super welcoming and we feel so comfortable as a new family. We can't wait for him to continue on in the years ahead.”

“Grew up attending OSLC. Sadly, did not live in the area when I was in elementary school, so was unable to attend the school. I was delighted when I learned my grandchildren would be attending OSLC and both were students there from Kindergarten through 8th grade. They not only got an excellent education but also learned about God's love for them. Definitely a Christ-centered place with loving teachers where they received an excellent, solid base for their secular education.”

“Saint Ann is a very nice school and they have church mass on Sundays. We attended their Christmas tree contest and it was beautiful to see the different theme of tree decorations. The school kids were very creative in decorating the trees.”

“A great church if you want to do mission trips. Recent mission trips to El Salvador and Haiti have been life changing experiences for the participants. It is also a "green" church, that is trying to become greener.”

“I am a former employee from Children's House Montessori and I highly recommend it. I absolutely loved the 2.5 years I worked at CHMS. The emphasis on the Montessori method can be an adjustment for families who are unfamiliar, but you will find that the children thrive in the environment. The classrooms are warm and inviting. I worked closely with a majority of the educators are loved their enthusiasm and creative ideas. If you visit the school, you will notice the hallways are covered in their work assignments are decorative art works. The next thing you will notice is how quiet the school is. Other than an occasional upset child, the classrooms are fairly quiet. The children are engaged with their individual work. When I first visited CHMS for my interview, I was impressed by how quiet and thoughtful the children behaved. The daily schedule is accommodating to working families. There is early morning care and after school care available. Primarily, I worked in the after school care program. Every day, we offered a variety of activities such as: dance, art, music, structured play and games. Every week, each student would bring home a pile of art work from their activities. The after school program at CHMS is unique from others because the teacher to student ratios surpass the minimum requirement. there are lots of opportunities for small group activities and projects and the children have a chance to relax and become comfortable with the staff, their friends and their environment. I really enjoyed the fun, engaging program.I cannot praise CHMS without giving credit to the Head of School, Denise. She is considerate and professional. At the beginning of every school year, she and her husband coordinate a huge school cookout at a local park. It is the first time of the year to connect with the families and staff. Every year, there is too much food and lots of fun! If staff or parents have a question or concern, Denise is only an email away. She always was available to schedule a quick meeting. I never felt left in the dark because there was such an understanding of open communication. Denise's efforts make CHMS a home away from home for the children and I know the parents appreciate it.I must add, I left CHMS because I relocated out of state. CHMS is like a little family and I would gladly return if I move back to Virginia.”

“The teachers and staff are wonderful! I have 2 children at Merit School of Clarendon (ages 2 and 4). When I drop them off I know they are well taken care of and are learning so much from their teachers.”

“I have two children at the center (going on almost 6 years now!) and have been very happy with the care they receive. To be sure, a few years back, the center experienced a lot of turnover under different leadership. But the current leadership is much more stable, professional, and responsive. The teachers my children have had have been terrific - very engaged, caring, and fun. In my opinion, the Bright Horizons’ care philosophy and curriculum is top notch. In addition to receiving a great early education, my children have been taught inclusivity and kindness - things that are very important to our family. The pandemic has been tough for the staff and families alike, but I know the staff is doing everything they can to keep our children safe. Nothing is 100 percent foolproof, but I feel my children are as safe as they can be outside the home when they are at Bright Horizons.”
