“Moss, thank you for the kitchen update. It was everything we wanted!
Jon got the team together early and everyone was patient with us. This was our first remodel/update ever in our home. The 1995-era kitchen was terrible (just look at the pictures! Old kitchen in yellow. Yuck!). Miyuki, as designer, had to be super patient with us newbies. She listened to our desires and concerns and sent us renderings. But she went above and beyond. We never even considered moving our refrigerator. Still, she sent us a rendering to consider with it replacing our pantry. We were concerned about losing a pantry’s worth of space. She assured us we’d gain back space with the new cabinets going all the way up to the ceiling and the built-in cabinets against a wall that previously was only a desk. Boy oh boy, was she ever right! We had no idea how much a simple appliance move would open up the kitchen. (And the water line move was minimal as our half-bath is directly below where the fridge now is.) We ended up going with her suggestion. I’m sure we would have loved our kitchen as we first envisioned it, but every day when I walk in I am so glad we went with her fridge-move idea!
Cristobal, as senior project manager, kept us—most importantly my wife who was at home daily—up to date on what was being done. And whenever we had an issue come up, he was quick to fix it or explain why it had to be done a certain way. The best ever was our “pass-through” window above the sink overlooking the dining/living room. We were afraid they wouldn’t be able to expand it. He assured us it could be. (Many of our neighbors were told the pass-through was stuck at a sad 2’x3’.) I’m now looking at our dining/living room from the sink, through a 3’x4.5’ opening. Again, we didn’t really comprehend what a difference such a small change would make.
Brady, as the day-to-day project manager, kept all of Moss’s employees on task. He very clearly explained to my wife what was happening daily. He made sure the stove was installed as soon as it was ready so we could use our kitchen before all the punch-list items were complete. Even better, our dog loved him. And our dog usually doesn’t like men! Louie (and we) thanks you, Brady!
This will not be the last time we contract with Moss for an update in our home. We have two 1995-era bathrooms staring us in the face daily, with gross contractor-grade, cheap cabinets, faucets, sinks, etc. Then we walk into our beautiful new kitchen and think: Bathrooms next! “At my recent visit to Bray and Scarff, I was lucky enough to have Matthew Kassa help me find the perfect replacement for my 22 year old washer and dryer that needed quick replacement. None of the floor models suited my needs, so Matthew looked on line. In a very short time, he found the perfect set to replace my dead machines at home. I went in on a Saturday afternoon, and the new machines were delivered and operating on the following Wednesday. Matthew mad sure I got a sale price and every available rebate. He volunteered to fill out the rebate forms for me if I needed help. It turns out, unlike my replaced machines, the new ones do not come with manuals as my older ones did. I called Matthew and he said if I wanted to return to the store he could complete the rebates (or do that over the phone) and print out the manuals for me. That took about 5 minutes, and I was on my way to use my new machines. This was customer service that is rare today, and could never be replicated by the AI many places now rely on. Thank you Matthew for setting my household back to normal!”

I only had a few minor concerns with the job (the vent hood was too low and an outlet wire needed to be concealed), and Ivan responded quickly and his crew resolved the issues just as fast. “My wife and I are so glad that we went with The Countertop Guru for our remodel. I did all the kitchen rebuild myself except for the counters and sink that they installed. I waited a few years to post to see how their work held up over time. They replaced our old laminate counters (first photo). And I can say that it looks as good today as the day it was installed. They were honest, well priced, and did an incredible job.
He gave us a great deal on a sink and faucet that another family ordered and then changed to a different version. He gave us great suggestions for both materials that fit our needs and our budget (we went with an engineered quartz counter). He even gave me some great advice on a primer for painting the cabinets. In the 'after' picture...the area on the right is one continuous piece, so we have no seams on any of our counters. If I ever buy another house and need counters ... I would not think of calling anyone else. A great, family-owned, local business.”

“I went to Ferguson’s Leesburg Branch today to buy replacement bidet supply lines & received exceptional customer service!! The staff helped me to identify the Kohler parts for a discontinued Kohler bidet faucet, asked when/where I purchased it (2020/Amazon), & told me it was still under warranty. Then, Andy proactively called Kohler, told them the parts I needed, gave them my contact info and Kohler will send the replacement parts at no charge! It’s remarkable for people to help even when you’re not buying anything.
Now, I’ll go back to Ferguson to shop for my remodeling needs. Thanks for a great experience!!”

“Please let me tell you about wonderful RIA! I do not often shop at the Williams Sonoma Outlet. Thankfully, I live far away from it (or I'd certainly STALK it every, single day). A few years ago, I visited the store in the evening just before they closed to look for a specific item. That's when I RIS came over to assist me and patiently work with me until my situation was resolved. I left the store very satisfied with the outstanding customer service provided by RIA. That, however, is not where my story ended with RIA. Approximately one year (or a little later), I returned to the store. You can only imagine my surprise and delight when RIA saw me and welcomed me by name!!! After all, she had only met several hundred customers since my previous visit. And even that would have been more than enough but remember this is RIA!!! I casually mentioned a specific color I loved in a certain brand that is difficult to find. This is ridiculous, whiny, entitled minutia that Ria hears from hundreds of customers every single day. Flash ahead to long after that visit, I get a call from steel-trap, encyclopedic memory RIA letting me know that they had received a product in that color. I have received at least 2 or 3 more calls since then letting me know when they have received something else. With all of the zillions of details RIA has to manage, I find this to be incredibly thoughtful, caring and exceptional customer service!!! Dear Williams Sonoma management, I hope that you realize the customer service jackpot you have hit with RIA and reward her accordingly. THANK YOU SO MUCH RIA!!!!”
