It probably was the time of the year, we went in the end of December. Not much in terms of foliage to see, it wasn’t as exciting. The ponds weren’t very clean. There was nobody around. The place sits on the middle of Virginia tech, geese pond and other nearby places are gorgeous though..

There's lots to love in this garden, shaded hidden benches and a gorgeous waterfall feature with Khoi. I've even seen a grey heron feasting. Free entry.
