About J. Gill's
J. Gill's is a well-stocked store located next to a huge recreation area. It offers quality fishing, camping, and water recreation supplies, including an incredible and impressive selection of fishing gear, custom rods, and handmade baits. The store also carries a good selection of basics like beverages, groceries, produce, food, and basic household goods. While not as cheap as a big box store and a little high on pricing, it is the only place in town. The employees are friendly, helpful, and damn nice folks, with fantastic customer service and genuine smiles. The owner is also very friendly. The place has a great hometown feel, with food being served and chatting going on. It is a great stop and a must-stop, especially on the way to fish at Kerr Dam or on the way out of the park.

This place was on my way home from work when I lived there and worked on a Microsoft project in Boydton. Great place, great people, had a good selection of basics, beer, food, basic household goods. Very friendly people, including the owner who I met several times. He helped me carry my bags to my truck on more than one...

Awesome place ran by great people. Great spot to stop on the way to fish at Kerr Dam, they have an impressive selection of fishing gear including custom rods and lots of handmade baits.

A little high on pricing but they are the only place in town, so you pay for convenience. Folks that run the store are damn nice folks.
