“I got new wheels for my hand truck and needed help finding the right hardware for it. I made 2 trips to Ace (because projects don’t always go to plan) and Brent helped me both times. Brent was very kind, patient, and helpful. Thanks Brent!”
“Always stocked well, helpful staff but corporate messes with people with deceptive “sale” policies and things like getting a huge discount offer AFTER having just shopped there. They do have what I need when I need it.”
“County Line Materials always has what I need. I personally know the owners, and they are great people who will treat you right and not rip you off. Their lumber and metal is some of the best available. Don't waste your time shopping anywhere else!”
“Rocking R is one of the things that makes Harrisonburg home for me.Always a warm, helpful greeting when you walk in, a great selection of name brands, and friendly cashiers waiting to get you on your way.Quite simply the best hardware store around, and my way of avoiding the big box stores!”
“Staff is friendly and helpful. The store is always clean and items are easy to find. If something is not in stock, they are happy to help you order it online. I have never encountered an employee there that was in a bad mood or that did not offer help. They always greet you when you enter the store.”
“I love it here, it’s a giant metal warehouse. That’s f$&@in metal. I know people can be surly at industrial type places. So approach With caution and get stoked on that giant Rolling crane that picks up heavy things. If your nice they might even let you cut some 24’ lengths in the parking lot! I’ve never had a bad experience!”
“It is convenient and well stocked. Prices are a bit higher than Walmart, but service is good and generally it is not too crowded. The store carries a good selection of hardware, tools, and pet food.”

“No reviews yet huh? I only came here because this was the only place within a 50 mile radius of Harrisonburg that sold dry ice. I went in with a cooler and I requested to get 5 pounds. The man went in and got the dry ice and came out fairly quickly. Dry ice here comes in pellets and the price isn't bad. Harris teeter sells by blocks. I had no problem here. I called them in advance to ask for the price and their hours. They don't open on weekends.”
“My husband and I bought pine straw and some other items for our yard on July 13. Customer service from the young men working in the garden part of the store that morning was excellent. They OFFERED to help us and quickly found what we needed. They OFFERED to load things for us. The three of them coordinated our purchases efficiently so we were in and out quickly. Great customer service!”
“We were and are still shopping for paint and roofing materials for new home and young lady in paint dept is really knowledgeable and helpful with all our questions. Can't remember her name but reddish hair and glasses”
“I really like the manager of the paint section. I believe it's Mr Jim. He is incredible and will help you with all your needs for painting.
I needed to get some stuff done for plumbing issues and Chip helped me out. He probably saved me hours and hours of looking. Please give that man a raise. Thank you so much Lowes for great service”
“The is a gem of a store and what sets it apart from anything is the customer service. The whole crew is amazing here. You will not find better people and service. Personal thanks to Wes and John as I just can not recall the other names at this time. I found out you can order anything to this store and they will assemble it for you with no extra charge. This is my go to store forever. They all should be getting raises seriously.”
