“I recently visited Norm's Beer and Wine in Vienna, and I was thoroughly impressed. They have an exceptional selection of both beer and wine – truly a paradise for anyone who enjoys quality drinks. What really stood out to me was their availability of hard-to-find and limited-release beers – something you rarely see even at specialty stores.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They were more than happy to offer recommendations without any pressure, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

“If you ever find yourself wandering into ABC Liquor Store, pray you get Sandra and Samuel on shift. These two are like the dynamic duo of generosity. Not only do they know every drink under the sun, but they also have a PhD in “Randomly Giving Free Liquor.”

I swear, I walked in for one bottle of wine and left feeling like I’d just won a mini jackpot. Sandra gave me a wink and a free sample, Samuel tossed in a tiny bonus because he said, “Why not?” At this point, I’m half expecting them to start a side hustle called “Liquor for Laughs”.

If you want excellent service, a few laughs, and maybe even a free drink or two, ABC Liquor with Sandra and Samuel is your new favorite happy place. Just don’t be surprised if you leave thinking, “Did I just make new best friends at a liquor store?””

When insurance doesn’t cover something, they try their best to look up any discount to help with the medical costs whether it be medication, or vaccine.

The staff is always helpful, and efficient. Jason is an amazing pharmacist, he is always friendly, and very informative! He consulted my significant other and I on what we needed for an upcoming overseas trip, and he made us feel prepared before we leave.

“I do have an ABC store two minutes away but if I drive three more minutes, I can go to this location. The one closer to me is fine, but it is a bit of an older store. That being said, this one always has French pastis in stock & on the shelf; Pastis is similar to Italian Sambuca or Greek Ouzo but not quite the same, lol. Sambuca is made from elderberries, Ouzo is made from distilled grapes & aniseed, & Pastis is made from anise, star anise & fennel. The store only has Pernod, which we do like, but you can special order Ricard, which is mine & my French hubs preference; they are from the same company & are both anise-flavored spirits that have their roots in absinthe, but they taste different enough from each other. Pernod is the closet to Absinthe & the company, Pernod-Ricard does, in fact, make real absinthe as well. Look up the history, it's actually an interesting story of how Pastis came about. But I digress, lol. Pastis is an anise-flavored apéritif, or apéro as the French call it, & it is a digestif (aides in digestions). It is typically drank before a meal & served over a couple ice cubes & diluted with water so that it becomes beautifully cloudy & almost a golden, iridescent yellow. Pernod is made from distillates of star anisé (on of my fave spices), fennel, & 14 other botanicals such as coriander, mint, chamomile, & Veronica to name a few. Pernod has a low licorice content which sets it apart from Ricard, which has a more pronounced licorice flavor I must say the staff here is super friendly & the female manager is the best; she always has a big smile on her face. FYI ~ if you want liquor in VA you must purchase it from the ABC store aka Alcohol & Beverage Control Authority.”

“This is my 2nd time here. The first time, was 2 years ago, I needed a couple of travel size bottles for the White Elephant gift. A lady showed me where they were. This time, I needed to get some Carolan Irish Cream for brownies. The lady there showed me where they were. I'm so happy they gave them in different sizes... 750ml $15.99 and 1 liter $19.99. The 750ml was in sale for $13.99, $2 off!! It was a little cheaper than the 1 liter bottle, so I bought 2 750ml. Will post brownies pictures later. ? The Irish cream brownies recipe is... 1 part water = 1.5 to 2 parts Carolan Irish cream. 2 parts will make the brownies very moist. You will be about to smell and taste the Irish cream if you use Carolan. Don't waste your money using Bailey's. I have already done that, and couldn't smell it taste the Irish Cream. I was told never use expensive liquor for cooking or baking. I used Tennessee Legend cream liquor before and it has a sweeter liquor taste, and make great brownies, too. I got them in TN near Gatlinburg, and we're $24.99 a bottle. If you are in the area, definitely pick some up there. They make great brownies like Carolan, with a different flavor.”

“I've been to this ABC Liquor Store in Oakton several times, and overall, it's a solid spot for picking up your favorite spirits. “I enjoy Balducci's because they have a nice variety of wines you can not easily get at big box stores. If you need that special ingredient for a dish, they usually have it. You can grab a snack and a drink and sit in their Cafe or outdoors on the patio. And mostly I appreciate the pleasant staff who are always willing to help and not make you feel rushed.While the prices are more expensive than other grocery stores this is a specialty market and for that prepare to spend a little extra. If looking for a weekly grocer, this may not be it. But if looking to cater a party, find a special bottle of wine or get that hard to find ingredient, this is a place to check out.”
