“First let me say, my wife and I have stayed at B&B's throughout the country and are experienced B&B'ers. Fox Field holds the #1 position of any we have stayed at. Every accoutrement you need is there. Spacious CLEAN rooms, comfortable beds and GREAT breakfasts. Not to mention a beautifully quiet serene location. Lisa and Irene, the hosts, make every effort to assure your stay is outstanding. We look forward to staying there many more times in the future when in the Charlottesville area.”

“Looking for a quieter non-chain stay for our anniversary, this seemed a good fit. The history of the property is neat. Needs cosmetics, food is a touch underwhelming, and there isn’t much to do or places to relax on property. Staff is very friendly and helpful.”

“Great hotel in every way; location amazing and staff and cleanliness stood out above all. Really a nice place, well kept, and I would highly recommend it and also happily stay here again.”

“I have nothing but great things to say about this Hampton Inn location. Stayed here for 2026 UVA graduation and although it was busy, the place was immaculately clean, the front desk staff was on top of everything, and we had a worry-free stay. It’s close to grounds and also close (within walking distance) to a lot of restaurants and shops. And not far from Bodo’s Bagels! Definitely recommend for out of towners visiting UVA.”

“Wonderful staff and beautiful location with attentive service, exceptional food and beverage, and luxury amenities. I have planned many corporate retreats before in a variety of settings and this, by far, was the best planning experience I've had with a location. Holly and Selah were fantastic in the planning process and Emily, Angelo, Johanna, Daniel, and Diamond made our entire event experience smooth and luxurious. Our teams hiked the trails on site, golfed at the Birdwood Golf Course, utilized the sports complex, received massages at the spa, and took advantage of the adult pool cabanas. All activities received high ratings and we loved the variety of what was offered without leaving the grounds. I highly recommend this location for any corporate event or for an outdoor getaway!”

“We visited Winter Wander on a Saturday night and had a wonderful time once we got into the light display. A lot of traffic to park so plan accordingly. The line for drinks was incredibly slow and appeared to be understaffed and the few staff working would disappear occasionally which slowed things down tremendously. The lights display was good. I would recommend skipping drinks and just enjoy the lights.”

“Clean, modern, spacious rooms. Convenient location - if you are a Tesla or EV driver, this hotel is hard to beat with both slow CCS and NACS superchargers in parking lot. Proximity to Stonefield Shops is very convenient.”

“The Omni is a pretty hotel that is in a fantastic location. The front desk staff, valet staff, and the staff in the Conservatory were great. The Hillock, not so much though (more on that in a bit).

The room was pretty clean and away from the elevator, as is our preference. There was plenty of clothing storage, both hangers and drawers, which seems to be rare these days! The bed was a bit hard, but that is fairly typical for most hotels.

We loved The Conservatory. We had drinks there one night and dessert another night. It's very pretty and the staff was great.

Now for the bad. We ate breakfast one morning at The Hillock and it was terrible. We were waiting to be seated and apparently the folks in front of us were with a wedding party. The manager spoke with them at length and completely ignored us while blocking the way when another staff member came to seat us. Unfortunately things did not get better. It took 10 minutes to get coffee. We never got menus (and we did ask for menus) so we decided to try the buffet, but it was barely edible. We eat buffet breakfasts in hotels a lot but this one was about the worst we've had. Definitely not worth the price. Maybe the ala carte is better, but our experience was bad enough that we didn't want to give a second chance.”

“Oakhurst Inn was a special place to stay on my birthday and it has overwhelmingly attentive front desk and valet service. I spent my birthday here and it was a last minute plan after finding out my dog has a terminal illness. The staff were so kind and helpful. My trip to Charlottesville will be remembered for many reasons. It will be a fond memory and keepsake of this trip with my dog during this time in her life. Thank you, Oakhurst Inn for providing this service and making things so seamless. If you travel with pets, Oakhurst Inn offers select rooms. Call in advance to make sure one is available. They don't have a refrigerator in the room so plan ahead if you have any food or items that are perishable. Enjoy your stay with your furry friend.”

“Very cute hotel!!! Bed was SO comfortable. The bar was really cute and the bartender was really friendly (studying to become a mixologist so offered to craft our cocktails based on what we were craving). Parking is valet only and $15 per car. The pool area and main building were all very cute with a cozy polished aesthetic throughout. Only (very minor) down side was I was looking forward to a morning sauna session before checkout but it wasn’t on and would probably take all day to heat up. I would 100% stay here again!”

“We were in town for a convention and I feel this was the perfect location. There were numerous stores in the vicinity that were walking distance, particularly Sam's Club and Walmart. Every activity we attended was pretty close, as were the shopping centers. The main issue I had was the room cleaning. They only made up the beds, took out the trash, and refreshed the towels. For some reason, after a day or two, the toilet begins to stink, but nothing seemed to be done about it.”

“Didn't stay in room, but went for a wedding reception in the Piedmont room. Very nice cocktail hour and coffee bar set up by the small bar area. Food was good. Service ok. We spent most of the reception with dirty plates on the table. Never cleared the room. Seemed like they were short staffed and only 3 men running the hotel! My plus one and I were tempted to find a bus pan and knock it out. Too many years in the service industry! But overall, it was good. Fantastic views, great location, and beautiful decor!”
