“We spent a weekend here celebrating our birthdays and recent engagement. We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts and Foxfield is by far our favorite. The inn is quaint, thoughtfully decorated, and very clean. Bridgette the Innkeeper made our stay memorable. She is not only very personable and caring she is an incredible cook.

The breakfasts were delicious and she was very accommodating to our dietary restrictions. The meals are thoughtfully prepared. We had lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes that were honestly one of the best pancakes we have ever had. Not to mention the homemade muffins she prepares daily!

We didn’t have time to take advantage of the outdoor space which is also beautiful. It includes a gazebo a hot-tub and a koi pond.

The location is perfect. It feels secluded but you are within 15-30 minutes to most attractions. We will definitely come back to stay here. Thank you Bridgette!”

“Great hotel in every way; location amazing and staff and cleanliness stood out above all. Really a nice place, well kept, and I would highly recommend it and also happily stay here again.”

“Cool place overall. Bed was rock hard with indentations and pillows were terrible. We paid extra for the premium king room with lake view. Was more of a tree view with views of the lake between the branches. We thought it would be nicer for the cost.”

“We visited Winter Wander on a Saturday night and had a wonderful time once we got into the light display. A lot of traffic to park so plan accordingly. The line for drinks was incredibly slow and appeared to be understaffed and the few staff working would disappear occasionally which slowed things down tremendously. The lights display was good. I would recommend skipping drinks and just enjoy the lights.”

“Genuinely one of the best Hyatt properties I have ever stayed at. My room was in excellent condition and had plenty of space. Comfortable bed too! The breakfast is now paid (not great) but my status with Hyatt got me a voucher. Plenty of parking nearby and a convenient location to the highway. Shopping, dining, and a movie theater within walking range. This will be my go-to hotel in the Charlottesville area!”

“This is one of the cleanest and updated Hampton Inns I’ve stayed at in a long time. The entrance is spacious and clean, the rooms were updated and modern (including the bathroom), and the pool area was very enjoyable. The breakfast was great and well staffed.”

“Oakhurst Inn was a special place to stay on my birthday and it has overwhelmingly attentive front desk and valet service. I spent my birthday here and it was a last minute plan after finding out my dog has a terminal illness. The staff were so kind and helpful. My trip to Charlottesville will be remembered for many reasons. It will be a fond memory and keepsake of this trip with my dog during this time in her life. Thank you, Oakhurst Inn for providing this service and making things so seamless. If you travel with pets, Oakhurst Inn offers select rooms. Call in advance to make sure one is available. They don't have a refrigerator in the room so plan ahead if you have any food or items that are perishable. Enjoy your stay with your furry friend.”

“The Omni is a pretty hotel that is in a fantastic location. The front desk staff, valet staff, and the staff in the Conservatory were great. The Hillock, not so much though (more on that in a bit).

The room was pretty clean and away from the elevator, as is our preference. There was plenty of clothing storage, both hangers and drawers, which seems to be rare these days! The bed was a bit hard, but that is fairly typical for most hotels.

We loved The Conservatory. We had drinks there one night and dessert another night. It's very pretty and the staff was great.

Now for the bad. We ate breakfast one morning at The Hillock and it was terrible. We were waiting to be seated and apparently the folks in front of us were with a wedding party. The manager spoke with them at length and completely ignored us while blocking the way when another staff member came to seat us. Unfortunately things did not get better. It took 10 minutes to get coffee. We never got menus (and we did ask for menus) so we decided to try the buffet, but it was barely edible. We eat buffet breakfasts in hotels a lot but this one was about the worst we've had. Definitely not worth the price. Maybe the ala carte is better, but our experience was bad enough that we didn't want to give a second chance.”

“Very cute hotel!!! Bed was SO comfortable. The bar was really cute and the bartender was really friendly (studying to become a mixologist so offered to craft our cocktails based on what we were craving). Parking is valet only and $15 per car. The pool area and main building were all very cute with a cozy polished aesthetic throughout. Only (very minor) down side was I was looking forward to a morning sauna session before checkout but it wasn’t on and would probably take all day to heat up. I would 100% stay here again!”

“Didn't stay in room, but went for a wedding reception in the Piedmont room. Very nice cocktail hour and coffee bar set up by the small bar area. Food was good. Service ok. We spent most of the reception with dirty plates on the table. Never cleared the room. Seemed like they were short staffed and only 3 men running the hotel! My plus one and I were tempted to find a bus pan and knock it out. Too many years in the service industry! But overall, it was good. Fantastic views, great location, and beautiful decor!”

“My husband and I stayed here for the Billy Strings concert (4/15). It was 15 minutes from the venue and was very affordable. I’m a Hilton Gold Member so we received complimentary breakfast, and a $15 food/beverage credit each to charge to the room. They have a cute little market with snacks, drinks, and alcohol so that’s what we used our credit towards. In terms of our room we stayed in 923. The room was big and airy, with lots of windows (so natural light to do my make up). I was disappointed though that our room wasn’t stocked with basic necessities such as, toilet paper and tissues. We had zero toilet paper when we checked in and I had to wait about an hour for the front desk staff to bring it up. The shower also wasn’t very clean (I’ll attach pictures). We only stayed for one night so we didn’t care because we didn’t need to utilize the shower. Their pool was adorable and they also had a mini gym. We would probably stay here again for a concert but definitely not a trip for a few days.”
