The Clifton is a stunning, luxury place with warm, inviting rooms. Guests praise its charm and history, and the grounds feel like home. Breakfast is amazing, and staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are older but comfortable, with beds, shampoo, and conditioner that smell wonderful. Guests feel safe and comfortable walking the grounds. The 1799 restaurant offers wonderful dining, with knowledgeable and friendly servers. Food is loved, and desserts are sometimes complimentary from the chef. Visitors enjoy a whole luxury experience and often return for staycations. The Clifton is a great place to celebrate anniversaries, enjoy a stay, and enjoy great food.
A beautiful, charming place to stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. The service was extraordinary. The restaurant was very good.

Looking for a quieter non-chain stay for our anniversary, this seemed a good fit. The history of the property is neat. Needs cosmetics, food is a touch underwhelming, and there isn’t much to do or places to relax on property. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
