“The advertise live performance and then give it to you on a screen. I suppose it's a good second choice to an actual live show, but it is what it is which is a single-screen very fancy movie theater.”

“Drink and food selections all went hand in hand. The atmosphere was very comfy and yet still elevated. The live music also made it a wonderful place to spend an afternoon ☺️”

“We can't say enough about the Clifton! As a wedding photo & video group, we have had the pleasure of partnering with the staff at this location for our couple's weddings - and each time we are blown away by the stunning grounds! It’s the perfect backdrop for any outdoor or garden-style ceremony & reception, and the inside of the Inn is just as elegant. There are plenty of gorgeous spots for portraits sessions between the rooms and the garden. Couldn’t recommend The Clifton enough for your wedding day!! Ig @paperboysweddings”

“My friends and I visited on the November DMB concert weekend and had the MOST AMAZING time. We thought that it would be chaotic with all of the people in town for the shows, but the place operated like a well-oiled machine with some of the kindest and most patient staff I have met anywhere. We had such a great time, we didn't want to leave! I will definitely be back. Well done!”

“Such a wonderful place for a concert. Not too crazy packed, room to sit down upstairs and also room to dance. The bathroom was clean and not crowded. No long lines either. The architecture itself was beautiful. There was no seating in front of the stage so it's a free for all if you want to get to the front, no paying extra for vip or pit seats. Got right in front for 50 bucks. The town and area are also very safe from what I experienced. Everyone was so polite! Great concert etiquette.”

“Be sure to grab the Petit Verdot, probably my favorite red they make. If you’re looking for a quaint tasting room where you can get to know the staff and enjoy hearing about the wine then this place is for you. They also have some food options, not meals but snacks for tastings. We got the cheese and cracker option. You’ll love it here!”

“I had a great time seeing Gov't Mule last night. Great little venue, easy parking next door, great sound. It was my first time there and it was a very positive experience.”

“I appreciated the free 1 hour parking. This visitor from the Midwest came due to the request of a grandchild. The options were many. The indoor and outdoor environments were pleasant. The selection of the shop by the child led to a very expensive, low nutritional entrée. I couldn't afford a more well-balanced nutritious meal for either of us.”

“really great service, I loved that there was so many nonalcoholic options (the rootbeer was fire!) The homemade cookies and mac & cheese was amazing and the prices were reasonable. Really enjoyed watching the bands. Look forward to coming again.”

“I was visiting the area for a concert, and my friend and I stumbled upon this place. It had an excellent selection of beer and the bartenders were very informative and helpful when choosing the right beer for us. I was not hungry, but my friend got a huge chicken sandwich that smelled and looked delicious. Additionally, they have a bookshelf of games, so my friend and I were able to drink beer, have some food, and play some cards games, too. Overall, atmosphere is a busy yet casual beer hall. I will definitely return to this place next time I am in the area.”

“A go-to recommendation for larger parties (6-8), vegetarians, or parties with a variety of tastes and preferences. You'll get high-minded flavors in a relatively casual setting with excellent service. Oakhart has some of the best vegetable dishes in the city (beets or charred carrots), while also offering excellent pizzas. The cocktails are creative and affordable ($13). Consistently a five star experience.”

“So I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is very nice, spacious, and clean. I wasn't exactly happy as this was a second choice...I was wrong. Quiet hotel, friendly and helpful staff. The cost is reasonable and my room is great. Restaurants are a little walk away. Free breakfast and parking! #”

“From signing our contract to the end of our rehearsal dinner and welcome party, The Space (we were working almost exclusively with Laura) was a dream to work with. I have an email chain of probably 50 emails back and forth with Laura as we figured our menus, layouts, décor, etc. She was so patient with us as we had so many questions during the planning process. They have a variety of menus you can built your dinner from (we chose a plated dinner), but they are able to really create anything you want even if it’s not on the menus. We requested a few different indian-style appetizers (paneer, samosa, etc.) which they absolutely delivered! All the food was amazing. Following the rehearsal dinner, we opened to a welcome party for all our wedding guests that were traveling into town for the weekend. We had desserts and an open bar available for our guests which they were able to seamlessly accommodate. The staff there was so attentive and continuously made sure we were happy throughout the event. They also have connections with someone who you can hire to decorate the awesome chalkboards they have behind the bar! They were the perfect venue for what we needed to kick off our wedding weekend!”

“Our organization hosted its annual holiday gathering at Level10 this past week and our staff/guests were head-over-heels in love with the space. The experience we had in planning and hosting the event was unparalleled -- Level10 management staff were accessible and accommodating through the process. Not to mention the VIEWS! My, my... I'd give it 6 stars if I could!”

“For a business traveller it largely meets the requirements. Plain, simple, clean. Grand lobby in front, big parking lot in back. Very plain, in fact, even compared to the usual. Everything in place but nothing seems just so. The water was warm, but not hot, the AC sounds a bit like a jet engine, the furniture just seems spare without being sophisticated. The staff are very nice, the neighborhood that's going up around it is dominated by slightly fancy outlet stores and matching restaurants. LL Bean, Brooks Brothers, Vineyard Vines, Trader Joe's. Feels safe, up-to-date, without having character; and it doesn't extend very far. The restaurants look serviceable for travel.Rooms: Sparse and very cleanNearby activities: Decent mid range restaurants.Food & drinks: Very simple and standard free breakfast. Attentive staff. Small bar and Starbucks coffee.”

“We co-hosted a wedding (June 2022) at Old Metropolitan Hall (OMH) with ~80 guests. The staff at OMH were fantastic and the venue looked magical for both the ceremony and the reception. The downstairs room worked great for the dancing phase. We highly recommend OMH as a wedding venue.”

“Fun for any age!! We were looking for a post Turkey feast activity and we're stoked Bowlero was open (shout out to the staff who keep this place rolling EVERY DAY of the year). Shanita offered us a deal for 3 rounds of bowling and some fun in the arcade. Craft Beer on tap ? Clean facility ? Great customer service!”

“I am not sure why the rating isn't at least 4 stars across-the-board! When I review/rate places, I try and look at it as a whole and yes, some of the particular details as well. I account for imperfections (because no one is perfect) and lastly, the general feel of how an establishment makes me feel is very important! With all that being said, Home2 suites is amazing! Because of contractors, and issues with my apartment. I have been staying in hotels for over a month. I have switched a few times because of supply and demand. What I can say is, of the 4 places I have stayed Home2 Suites is by far the best! This is my experience from my past 2 lengthy stays: Home2suites has been consistently friendly, welcoming, definitely accommodating, and kind. They make me feel always wanted and cared for by each and every staff member I have had communication with. I have a king size suite, and it is very reasonably priced. My room is clean in good condition and has all the amenities one could ask for.! There is a full-size fridge with a separate freezer in my room! This is very important if one would want to freeze water bottles have frozen dinners, ice cream, etc. Many hotels have fridges with tiny freezers that are connected inside the fridge. So the freezer part never really stays frozen. Bathrooms have all the tissues towels, shampoo, soap, and conditioner, make up wipes, hair dryers, and everything else you can think ofTV is huge and easy to figure out attaching my fire stick ( for Netflix,Hulu, etc.) I love how this hotel has full-size washers and dryers!!! These are free to all the guests and they're down by the gym, just bring your own washing soap. (Or you can buy it there) Breakfast is free and every day omelettes are made, muffins, granola, bacon, hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal you name it...you got it !When I wanted a certain kind of coffee, they took the Keurig out and put a different machine in (maybe Nepresso?) for my coffee tastes!! How cool is that! Anyway, I could go on but this hotel is amazing whether you want a room or a suite they got you covered! You can literally walk to the downtown mall or IX park which are both great places for Saturday morning markets ! This is an extremely good location and beautiful property ... there is a really nice outdoor covered seating area with a fire pit right by the front entrance! And I think I saved the best for last ... the STAFF !!! I don't know who does your hiring, but they have done well. These employees are some of the best people I have met and I live in Charlottesville ! Well done Home2 Suites, I definitely will be back and I will send any out-of-town friends (who can't stay with me) straight over to you !”

“Easy to get to and park, really close to grounds and the corner and a short trip to the downtown mall. The Inn was super accommodating for our engagement and were able to get me exactly the room I wanted and put my flowers in the room in advance. Easy to work with and a great price too with the Virginia resident discount. The room was very comfortable, bed super soft, ceiling fan and AC control in the room were nice bonuses. The soaker tub in the king suite was also unreal.”

“Oakhurst Inn was a special place to stay on my birthday and it has overwhelmingly attentive front desk and valet service. I spent my birthday here and it was a last minute plan after finding out my dog has a terminal illness. The staff were so kind and helpful. My trip to Charlottesville will be remembered for many reasons. It will be a fond memory and keepsake of this trip with my dog during this time in her life. Thank you, Oakhurst Inn for providing this service and making things so seamless. If you travel with pets, Oakhurst Inn offers select rooms. Call in advance to make sure one is available. They don't have a refrigerator in the room so plan ahead if you have any food or items that are perishable. Enjoy your stay with your furry friend.”

“Overall I'd say the place is nice for the price and worth enjoying. This location is under going rebranding from an old company being here so it shows signs of renovation at the moment. Other then the lack of court supervision the facility is worth the price. Management and staff are kind and willing to help. Definitely not dirty as other reviews say.”
