“Today as I was having a breakdown over another local storage facility totally failing me in an already stressful moving situation, I called Storage Sense. Their representative, Tyler, calmed me down immediately. He listened and assured me he could help me, and he did! He immediately found a unit in his facility and explained everything in great detail. Why didn’t I call StorageSense first?! Tyler was so professional, friendly, and detailed.
If you are looking for a storage facility in Charlottesville, this is the place to go!”
“I strongly recommend this storage facility. The manager was so sweet and the price was great. Couldn’t ask for a better experience from a storage facility.”
“We enjoyed using Charlottesville Self Storage as an intermediate step during a summer move. It was easy to reserve a unit online, and the unit met our needs. The staff we interacted with were helpful to get our account set up and explained policies clearly. Ending our contract was straightforward too. We felt like our possessions were in good hands for the duration of our lease. Thank you for the service!”
“Great experience with this storage unit facility. It is well-maintained and easy to access. A huge shout out to the manager, Daniel! He is awesome, super friendly, and provided excellent customer service. Highly recommend!”
“I can’t say enough good things about the experience I had today, and it was entirely because of Davey. From the moment I walked in, he was incredibly welcoming, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely willing to help.
Getting a storage unit can be one of those things that feels like just another stressful errand, but Davey made the entire process unbelievably easy. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered every question I had, and made sure I got the right unit for what I needed without ever making me feel rushed or pressured.
What really stood out was his attitude. Davey didn’t just do his job—he went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. That level of customer service is becoming harder and harder to find, and when you come across someone who genuinely takes pride in helping people, it deserves to be recognized.
If management reads these reviews, Davey is absolutely someone you want representing your company. Employees like him are the reason customers come back and recommend a business to others.
Thank you again, Davey, for making the entire experience so smooth and positive. Easily one of the best customer-service experiences I’ve had in a long time. 10/10 service and absolutely deserving of five stars.”
“The people at Community Self Storage deserves more than five stars. Their pricing is reasonable. Their entire staff is amazing - genuinely kind, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile. Whatever they’re being paid, it isn’t enough. They’re simply good people who care.
They also operate the putt-putt place next door, which is an absolute blast. Great storage facility, great people, and a great part of the community!”
“We paid ahead by 3 months and then forgot to pay until we were another 5 months overdue, yet no late fee was charged due to the nature of our arrangement. Again an honest business deserves 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“These people are incredibly helpful! They answer phone calls and you get to speak with a human. Upon arrival from out of town, I had a 16ft truck with an attached flatbed in tow and I had concerns about a storage unit facility wide enough to maneuver, disconnect tow, unload truck attach flatbed etc. No storage unit in town was able to answer my phone calls except North Charlottesville Storage. They addressed all my concerns and waited for my arrival to stage me while they set up my storage needs. Thank you Sarah and team for streamlining this process for me, it was very helpful.”
“It is a great place to store goods, the units are always well maintained and clean. Suzanne is a great asset to the company. She knows exactly what I need when l ask, always smiles, and very professional.”
“I was well pleased with the safety and security of my possessions that were left in Woolen Mills Storage for seven + years. If need be I will use their facilities again. Thank you Eddie and crew.”
“Just moving in, but so far it’s been the easiest rental I’ve had - online reservation, virtual receptionist at the facility, an entrance code that works and a free lock. The only concern was there were no carts in the lobby - it seems there’s only one per door. Another cart at each door would be a nice addition”
“We have been dealing with this storage company for a long time and they are very very understanding and lenient and do their very very best to help their loyal customers , the property manager Keihi is very helpful and pleasent and kind to work with ! I would recommend this facility ten times over ! Nothing but the best experiences with her and this facility and my unit , and will always recommend to any and everybody who’s looking for a storage facility , thanks again guys ! ( one personal experience I can speak on out of many ! There was a time where the code to the gate did not work and it was a weekend and I was able to send a text to their public office and I was able to get a call almost immediately and was given another code instantly and that problem was resolved fast ! )”
“Quick registration and ultra convenient if you live in or near the city center. It can get a little tight when several people are putting stuff into/out of storage if you drive a larger vehicle.”
