“I’ve been fly-fishing for over 40 years and have fished the world and seen hundreds of fishing shops…Albermarle angler is THE greatest fishing store I’ve ever been to. It’s not large but everything in it is everything you’d want from top notch waders, boots, an entire spectrum of rods and reels - from very affordable entry level pieces to top of the line heirloom worthy rods/reels. The collection of clothing is top notch with Tom Becke, Filson, Orvis, to name a few. Luggage, fishing packs, flies, lines, leaders….its endless.
The BEST part of this store is the staff and the personalized attention you get. There is no sale pressure just genuine help wanting to make sure you are comfortably geared up to enjoy this wonderful sport.

“A small and knowledgeable dance store. My daughter has gotten two pairs of pointe shoes here this year and the employees are very knowledgeable in helping dancers select the correct shoes for them. I had my toddler with me at our last visit and had to step outside so he wouldn’t put his hands on everything. My daughter said the lady helping her made her feel safe and comfortable while I tended to her brother. They worked on picking out her new pair of pointe shoes and some others. When I came back in they were finished and I got info on where to order shoes they didn’t carry. Pricing is decent as dance shoes are expensive everywhere. Shop is small and cozy. They have an employee that is immunocompromised and they ask that everyone entering to wear a mask. They do provide one if you don’t have one on you.”

“Maybe not a super fair review...but they were wiped out. ? It was the weekend (Saturday) after the Xmas holiday. I get it if the shelves are thin after the shopping frenzy but the store was pretty dirty. Things were randomly everywhere and anywhere. Just a general clean up would have been nice for the customer experience.”
“Excellent service--they went out of their way to help my son pick the perfect Christmas gifts for his riding instructor and her horses! They're also extremely knowledgeable about all things riding, English or Western. Their store has a great selection of clothing, accessories, horse and human riding needs. I don't know if they're the only game in town, but they're definitely the one I'll be returning to!”

He would tell me the ups AND downsides of each type of shoe, and for example, why a certain shoe would have the feel it does to walk or jog in. Highly recommended.”
