“Our cat is a sweet angel at home, and a terror at the vets. However, we just finished her yearly appointment, and are SO impressed. Dr. Donna Manley and Shay H (Vetrinary Assistant) are cat-whisperering miracle workers. They recommended a sedation plan before the visit, so Chia was alert but relaxed during the transport and exam. They also had the brilliant idea to simply remove the lid of her cat carriers so she could stay in her safe space during the exam, rather than try to wrestle her out. I've seen our cat become reactive (and unfortunately) lunge at other vets; but, she was completely okay with getting her shot and physical evaluation from Dr. Manley. She didn't even hiss when the vet palpated her tummy and looked at her teeth. For the first time, I can say that no one involved with her vet visit was traumatized (including her). We are so grateful, and highly recommended Dr. Manley and Shay :)”

The staff- from the initial call from Ivy who scheduled the appointment and advised me of costs and online paperwork, Grace who was so very kind as she retrieved my kitty from the car and took him inside for his ultrasound, Dr. Purnell who was professional, informative, and helpful in providing options to help with my cat's health issues, Mikaela the outstanding vet tech who answered questions and instructed us as to how to correctly administer vital meds, and the ladies at checkout who were so very polite and friendly- each and every person we encountered was experienced, exceptional, and just wonderful! “I am a first time pet owner who wanted to find a good vet to care for my 8-week old puppy and to educate me on proper puppy care and development. I am so glad that I chose ODAH! The doctors, techs, and front office staff at the Preston Avenue location are wonderful, and I have never had a problem getting an appointment. Whenever I call for an emergency, they get me in on the same day. Routine visits can be scheduled within a week, sometimes even sooner. I am very pleased with the medical care and customer service they provide. Also, the doctors have advised me on insurance, nutrition, exercise, training, grooming, and preventative care, like vaccinations and medicine for heart worm, fleas, and ticks. We started discussing neutering and after-care months before I needed to make a decision, and I did not feel pressured. They gave me a quote early on, so I knew what to expect financially. Their prices are reasonable, and they respond quickly to vaccination verification requests. You can purchase prescription medications and food at the clinic. They also have an online store with more food and supplies, including toys. Finally, and perhaps most characteristically, they give back to local animal shelters and organizations through various fundraising events. My dog will be 18 months old in a few weeks, and I know he is a healthy, happy dog in large part because of ODAH. I highly recommend them!”

“My only negative comment is the receptionist wasn’t friendly over the phone or in person. While there, an elderly lady came in and needed help carrying her cat in. She was told she’d have to wait for help. That’s understandable but the way (tone) in which she said it is what bothered me. My spouse carried her cat in and she whispered to me that the receptionist wasn’t nice the last time she was in. It wasn’t just me that noticed her behavior.”

I truly feel they love my boys as much as I do, and that they are the best place for treatment at all stages of my cats’ lives. I always feel that I am getting a good deal and trust their recommendations implicitly.They saved one of my boy’s lives when I thought he wouldn’t pull through (Sputnik) and helped another cross the rainbow bridge peacefully and with dignity when it was his time to say goodbye (Herbie). “I came to Monticello Animal Hospital based on a recommendation from a coworker. I am so happy I found this place! I brought two of my cats here already and have had a great experience each time. The staff is very nice and helpful. We saw both Dr. Heilmeier and Dr. Andersen and they were both very gentle with our cats. They answered all our questions and explained their reasoning for each procedure they elected to do. I am glad I found this place and will continue bringing my pets here for their care. The only feedback I would give is trying to be more transparent with prices. We did not get any out of the world surprise bills or anything like that, but I am used to vets that tell you how much procedures cost beforehand as well. Nevertheless, I am still very satisfied with their services.”
