“True Virginia country store, with a little bit of everything - best biscuits in town, great prices and a hard working staff. These folks are here no matter what, and also serve up way too much ice cream to my kids every time we get it. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve had power out through weather emergencies and when we make it to town - bam, Floyd Express open and ready. Great prices on gas and kerosene, non-ethanol, and always a ton of seasonal fruit/plant offerings out front. 10/10 every time.”

They even stock items I had not previously heard of, like lavender paste. Wait. Lavender paste? Yes, lavender paste! Harvest Moon sells really fun gift items, too, like Yoga Joes. As you browse, you'll forget you're in a tiny mountain town.”
“I was here for Floydfest and had been walking about. I got too hot and went into tachycardia, as I've got a heart condition. When I went in, the staff was absolutely helpful, they gave me emergen-C and kept an eye on me to make sure I was alright. Helpful and friendly staff, clean bathrooms.”
“My family and I were traveling and we don’t have Sheetz where we live, so we stopped to check it out. I had to use the restroom and it was surprisingly clean for a gas station. Two of the three coffee machines were in cleaning mode at 4am, so I had to pick a roast I don’t really like, but that was okay. The only thing that bothered me was seeing several employees standing outside the front smoking and then going straight behind the food line. Not a good loo”

“We drove 967 miles to get to this store. There was a particularly bad blizzard at the time, and my heavily pregnant wife was getting concerned for our safety. So you can imagine our relief when we finally arrived at the store. However, it was closed, so we had to turn around and drive back home. We made the journey again the following week and, whilst there were no blizzards, the store was closed again! On our 3rd attempt (one small blizzard), you guessed it, the store was closed! On the journey home, there was another blizzard, and we inadvertently drove in the wrong direction for 500 miles before we realized our mistake. My wife then went into labour, and I was forced to deliver the baby by myself with just the tools I had in the trunk. Mainly a 52-piece socket set, a tile cutter, duct tape and a large adjustable wrench. All went surprisingly well. We've named her Blizzard. Anyway, to cut a long story short, we made a fourth visit last week and were delighted to find that the store was open. We were greeted very enthusiastically by a very friendly employee who made us feel very welcome. However, when I asked where they kept the foie gras, they laughed and said they'd never heard of the stuff. So my wife and I had no choice but to get back in the car and head home again, empty-handed.
It's not the 8700 miles we drove to finally get to this store that's disappointing. It's the fact that I discovered the store opposite my house sells foie gras and can also deliver to me free of charge.
Would I recommend this store? Yes.
Would I recommend this store for foie gras? Most certainly not!”
