“This is a decent Food Lion. A remodel a couple years ago or so ago has improved the inside appearance of the store a great deal. Shelves are pretty well stocked and I can almost always find what I seek. Food Lion occasionally advertises some pretty good prices on beef in their weekly sales flyer but unfortunately this location usually has a very limited or no quantity on display. You sometimes have to seek out an employee to bring out sale items from the back. This seems to be common practice at some Food Lions but does not hold true at all locations. Other than this issue I generally have a pleasant shopping experience when I patronize the store. Produce is displayed attractively and appears fresh and beautiful. Aisles are wide enough for two shoppers with carts to pass by each other. Departments are clearly marked. Staff is friendly and helpful. The store is generally clean. The large private parking lot ensures there is always plenty of space available to park your vehicle. The lot is in good repair. Two points of ingress and egress from the property make it convenient for shoppers to get in and out. One of the entry/exit points is controlled by a traffic light. I appreciate Food Lion maintaining a presence in this underserved part of Chesapeake because there really isn't another supermarket anywhere close to this one. 3.5 stars rounding up because it is the only supermarket in SoNo.”

“I like this location. I normally shop at Harris Teeter or Whole Foods either doing pickup or having it delivered. The staff have always been friendly and helpful the handful of times I've visited. I've literally been in 3 Food Lions in my life, this one is pretty nice.”
“Pharamacy does a great job, for being as busy as they are! Posted signs indicate that pharmacies are falling in line with the "remote" trend, many "standard" Rx will be filled and verified elsewhere, then sent here. Pharmacist could not find my vaccine appointment even though I had my confirmation number. She could not have been more apologetic, and I know that's a function of technology and not human error. Still, be EARLY for appointments, because they wil almost certainly be a line! And plan ahead to drop off Rx to pick up later. Be kind to staff, y'all!”
“I've like shopping here since it opened; but recent changes are very concerning. Added lots of self checkout, but only 2 lines have regular checkout. #1, I hate self checkout, and will not use. #2, I don't work for Walmart, hence refusal to use self checkout, not my job. If lines get too long or the wait too long, I'll simply do more shopping elsewhere like Kroger or Food Lion. Love the pharmacy though, always quick and on point.”

“Took my 93 year old mother to this Rite Aid to get her booster and she is recovering from hip surgery and the Pharmacist named Hip was wonderful. I came in to let him know she was there outside in the car and he told me he would come out to the car and give it to her. That was such a kind thing to do and limited her exposure. He has always been so helpful to me filling my prescriptions. The staff there is always so helpful. I know they are working non stop under stressful conditions but I think their best interest is their customers. Thank you Hip and the Pharmacy staff at Mt. Pleasant Rite Aid!”
“While in town visiting a relative I decided to try this place because my relative told me they had great salad bar. This place resembles Kroger which is popular in my home state. This place to me was very spacious and had plenty of options to choose from. At the salad bar, it was various different toppings and vegetables to put in your salad. Beside the salad bar they had already prepared foods to select as well. It charges based on the weight of the salad. You can choose from small to large. Since I was hungry due to only eating pretzels on the flight to Va, I got the large salad choice. For me it was a healthy option and I didn't get that "I'm full" filling after eating it. Whenever I'm back in the area I will definitely come back here.”
