The Magnuson Hotel - Mountain View presents a mixed experience, with feedback highlighting both significant strengths and serious concerns. The staff receives strong praise from many guests, described as excellent, friendly, accommodating, helpful, pleasant, and professional. Specific commendations note their willingness to fulfill room requests and resolve issues. The rooms are frequently called large, clean, and comfortable, with fresh bedding. The pool is noted as crystal clean and not crowded. The hotel is acknowledged as an older property but an acceptable place to rest, offering good rates. However, several critical issues are reported. One guest details a severe fiasco involving a rude and allegedly dishonest staff member, describing overcharges, fraudulent transactions, broken amenities like AC and TV, bug infestations, and trashed rooms, culminating in a refund dispute and police visits. Another guest mentions a needed room change due to a leaky faucet and broken cable, and warns of unsafe spiky bars under the beds. The exterior is noted as needing cleanup, and the on-site restaurant was closed during one stay. Overall, while many guests report positive stays with clean rooms and excellent service from some staff, others describe profoundly negative experiences involving maintenance failures, overcharging, and unprofessional conduct, indicating inconsistent management and potential safety hazards.
Excellent staff. There for a funeral and offered a ride to services if my ride was unavailable. Large clean room and comfortable clean bed. ( Outside needs a little bit of cleanup). Pool , crystal clean 😁 and not crowded. Enjoyed.

I can't say much is bad. It's an older hotel, and it's not the Hilton, so to say. But, it's an ok place to lay your head down.
