“My favorite goodwill around here! Always travel out of my way for this location. I’ve noticed lately they have been starting to follow other goodwill and overprice things though.”

“I've been going to 2nd Helpings for years and really recommend it for people who like thrifting. They have a really nice selection of clothes and furniture - you can get some really nice pieces for a great price. Plus, the proceeds go to helping those in need locally, which is a big pro to me as well. I highly recommend checking them out if you haven't!”

“Leighanna is amazing and very helpful! She will help you dress out for whatever occasion or whatever you’re looking for. I had to clean out my closet recently to avoid becoming a hoarder, while still making some space for a new wardrobe… So I sold some clothes today and bought a really nice sweater for the season. It was hard to not spend all the money I just made. They always have great quality clothes, bags, and shoes. I always find what I need and there’s usually options too. Always a great experience!”

“Great selection of items, especially woman’s clothing. Absolutely the nicest staff. They had tomatoes that they were giving away and sharing with all the shoppers. The cashier was amazing. I mentioned that we had dropped our son off at college. She hugged me and prayed for him. I know that might not be for everyone but, it was like she looked at me and knew exactly what I needed. I won’t forget that moment.”

“Philip Priest and the folks at the Roanoke Salvation Army are the best. They have helped with two funerals of my wife's family, and were tremendously helpful to members of my family over the years. I am grateful that dedicated people are still willing to help those in need.”

“I feel bad for the negative reviews.
This Goodwill is fine.
They can only sell what is donated to them!
Regarding fitting rooms, I think they stopped because people were shoplifting.
Not their fault!
Want a fitting room? Go to Macy's or wear some you can try stuff on over.
I find the employees very kind.
They do their job....... I'm not there to make friends.
The store is well kept.
I appreciate that there is a Goodwill.
Keep up the good work, Debbie, and the rest of the staff.
I appreciate your hard work.

“This Goodwill is very clean and does not smell musty, as some do! I arrived at noon just as they were opening. Today was a great day to purchase clothing, because yellow tags were $1 and red tags were 1/2 off. It became more crowded as the time passed, I'm guessing due you these summer Sunday specials. Staff were helpful and very friendly! Dressing rooms were clean and clutter free. A great visit, and I purchased so many cheap nice unneeded clothes!”
