Great service, great customer service and field technicians, workers go above and beyond to find a permanent fix for when technical issues arise, fair and competitive pricing. Highly recommend!

The internet is horrible and every time you call they send a tech a day later is worse.

Met some of the power line workers on their lunch break as I was helping a bus load of my seniors from the retirement community I work at into a restaurant. They held the door for my residents with a smile on their faces. Stand up guys.

Shentel is disorganized and overcharging LONG time customers. They sent this letter making it urgent that we had to switch our internet service because they no longer provide DSL. This was our only opinion for forever. I called and they said they will no longer provide DSL. The new internet service was going to be 5 times fast and cheaper! We pay 70 Dollars for 15M DSL. Once they said we would be switched over someone will call me to get it set up. They even told me I would need a new modem so I bought a new modem. After 3 weeks of not hearing from them and since I thought this was an URGENT matter (judging by the letter), I called. The first lady was rude to me immediately and said we can't service your location. I immediately had questions. She sends me to someone else. This person was apologetic and even said we don't have cables out there yet so it would be a long time before we got cable internet. So after the letter that Shentel sent; we will not have cable internet, we will have to stay with DSL, and I bought a modem for no reason. I question how expensive DSL was when I could get cable cheaper and looks like they have been overcharging me. She wouldn't tell me for how long. She gave me credit for 3 months because that is how far she could go back. Probably been overcharging for YEARS. I now pay around 50 dollars which is still too much but can get another internet service. Call and question your bill with them and if you get an urgent letter, don't be too hasty or get your hopes up. They don't know where they have laid cables. Last but not least don't buy a modem until you know they are coming that day.Shentel; allow reviews on your Facebook. Thanks.

Terrible service. Slow response. I've been waiting 2 weeks for them to install basic internet. But wait there's more they have ridiculous prices. If it wasn't for the fact they were the only providers in the county I would have drop them a long time ago

The worst internet you will experience. Inconsistent service, apparent throttling, and prices far above that of other ISP's charge for the same price. They sell "high speed internet" even at speeds not considered high speed. I am happy every day I wake up and not have to use their wifi. I went an entire summer before without usable internet for a gaming console.

Customer service is the worst. Internet service is the 2nd worst. They clearly don’t care about the countless 1 star reviews. They don’t deserve any business. Best thing to do is save up and get starlink

I am giving 3 stars because people are nice and professional. Sadly, the employees have to be that way because of the poor service the company provides. Service just went out and unknown when restored. This was less than a month when noone could advise when billing for the data caps would happen. We moved here and felt like stepping back in time with high prices, data caps. Xfinity did leave a door hanger that they are installing in the area which will be more than welcome

Shentels saving grace is one technician named Robbie. Who came to service my home in Appomattox, VA just a little house right in town.I called to get internet and they came back to me and said my property was not servicable.2 weeks later I tried again and Robbie came on by the house and said they are correct, but it can be fixed. He explained 3 ways to fix and he would share 2 of those in his report to engineering.I learned about what a Tap was, I learned why I was not currently servicable, and he gave me a rough idea of how long it may take to fix it if the people at engineering agreed to expand and do a Mega tap and run it through my yard.Robbie not only told me the truth, but explained to me and educated to me the reality and still said there is hope and to contact the Customer Service team next week, to get an update. It's Technician like Robbie, that make Shentel a good company.I hope to hear back soon, and I hope that within the next several months. I'll be enjoying internet just like my neighbor's 50ft away!

It's obvious I'm screaming into a void here because this review will obviously mean nothing to them. They just collet their money and continue to provide the worst service possible. Shentel is by far the worst company I've ever seen. We pay monthly for our internet service and we're luck to have service for more than 3 days at a time before they have to send another technician out to repair yet again. Being in Strasburg there are no options other than shentel and god I wish there was more. I'd hop on an opportunity for another ISP in a heartbeat.

Very poor service. Called many times to fix the issue and still facing the same issues. Upgraded the internet speed, but hasn't work.
