“Fantastic quality, Khader is the best. While small and cramped (and if you know the family’s story you know why) the meats and grocery items are the best quality. Very Old World. Housemade hummus, tabuli, moutabal and toum are worth the trip alone. He has his own halal farm in Warrenton.”

“Al Amanah market is by far the best Mediterranean / Middle Eastern market in the Richmond area! The store is always neat and organized, the owner is a very nice person and is always willing to help you find the best quality of what you need. They have a huge assortment of all the traditional Middle Eastern products. We’ve shopped there for years and have always been satisfied!”

“Probably the best quality meat I’ve ever purchased from a store. The NY Strips only needed the famous organic butcher rub, and I’d put that steak up against any top restaurant steak that would cost $100. Highly recommend!”

“As far as I’m concerned, this is the best place to shop in and around Bethesda! We shop here at least twice a week. The secrets is out and this place is getting busy. I love their steaks but their poly face chicken, eggs, breakfast sausage and beef are a close second. The people here are passionate about what they do and provide fantastic customer service.”

“I have been searching for a hot pastrami sandwich in the DMV for a while. After a Google search, I found Stachowski's. After reading the reviews and seeing a pictures of their pastrami sandwich, I made the 40 minute drive from my house to give it a try. It was phenomenal! I don't think I could put into words how good it was. Not only massive, enough for 3 half sandwiches. Tender and so flavorful, with just the right amount of fatty pieces. The spicy mustard was just right and the pickles were great. Shared this with my husband who was equally impressed and he doesn't even eat pastrami. Customer service was great. Will definitely be back.”

“A real butcher! So far, I’m loving the sausage, but there are choice cuts that I’m looking forward to trying, including some dry aged pieces. Selection is rather small (what they show for cheese on their website is not necessarily available in store), but the quality is there.”

“Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon for to go sandwiches. The space feels authentic and not pretentious (especially for a place in Bethesda that sells premium cuts of meat.) The service was impeccable! A kind gentleman made our sandwiches fast and with great care, nice and toasty and packaged well. We got the Lala land and Mr James. Both were amply filled with quality meats and fixings. We liked the Mr James better but I think it could have used more horseradish. The Lala land was missing something - either spicy like a crushed red pepper or sour like pickle. We also grabbed a bag of everything flavored pretzel chips. Will say that the food doesn't photograph well but it so good!”

“Found this place today. Too many good choices. First visit had the Steak & Cheese. It was delicious. Maybe, the best in the DMV?! But, too small. It was about 1/2 the size of what it should be. Quality ingredients. A little spice to it from the Thai Chili which I didn't mind. Other that it's a pretty traditional chopped steak sandwich. American cheese. It should be bigger is my only criticism.Second visit was a Fried Chicken Sandwich with Beef Fat Fries. Really good. The sandwich was not too heavy on the breading. It was light tasting. The bun was OK, not great. The Jalapeno jelly, Alabama sauce, and pickle were all tasty. The Beef Fat Fries were delicious as well. I liked the rosemary touch.”
