“If you have ever shopped at a Dollar General then you know what to expect here. The prices are good and they try to have a little bit of everything. These stores are ideal for shopping when you don't feel like going to the bigger chain stores. They do have some clutter in the isles. This location is on 220 between Rocky Mount and Collinsville. Service was friendly and they had what I was looking for.”

“This Dollar General in West Bassett (Philpott Area) has relatively recently been renovated inside and has a new layout from my last visit. It's clean, it's neat and tidy, and the staff here are typically very nice. I definitely love the new layout as it seems like there is more space here now.
It's a great store, I do recommend it!”
“Don't go here often but they have some things you might need in a moment notice while other places are not open or not as close to you. Some workers are friendly while others not so much.”
“I have had many, many visits to this DG Market. It's the largest DG you'll find that sells produce, some bakery items, more clothing and much more. This particular DG Market is great. It is very simply laid out, wide and spacious, and has plenty of well-stocked items to browse and buy. It's extremely clean and well staffed, with very friendly staff who are willing to help you out regularly.
This is a phenomenal store and I wish there were more like it nearby. Highly recommended!”
“Typical Dollar General. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Easily accessible with plenty of parking. Everything you need from toiletries, shirts, crossword puzzles, balloons or just a drink and a candy bar. Public bathroom, just ask for the key. Tight isles from all the stock. Staff may be busy and not at the check out, just grunt out or cough loudly and someone will come help.”
“This is an excellent Dollar General. It's relatively old, so it is not the most spacious one you will find but it is packed full of supplies and food that isn't cluttered in the slightest. The staff are friendly and accomodating, and the place is very clean.

“This Dollar General is very good. It is clean from the outside in and is clearly well run. The store is spacious and mostly uncluttered, having well stocked and non-messy aisles. The floors are very clean and not looking grimy and dirty. There are good sales going on at this particular store.
Overall, it is a great store and clearly taken care of. 5 stars!”
“My first review was over a year ago. I came into this store about 30 from closing at 4:30pm. Granted, it makes sense due to the snow storm that had just happened. Be aware of that in the winter months. This store tends to close earlier than other local DGs and is inconsistent. Other than that, the interior is much better than it was last time. Fewer roll-tainers, and better stocking. Less clutter is a huge win in my book!”
“This is a Family Dollar along business 220 near Martinsville, Virginia. It has relatively recently been renovated in the last year and a half. It's not nearly as neat and tidy as it was back then, but it is still pretty good. It's spacious, and pretty well stocked. When I went, the floors looked like they needed to be swept. Overall, the staff are friendly and the place is nice. Parking lot is a bit difficult to deal with, though.”

“This is a great Dollar General. It is about a decade old but is still quite clean, pretty well stocked and staffed. The aisles are tight though. Staff here are great!”
“The folks that work in these stores do a great job, that is why they get the 4 stars, not because of the love of General Dollar. These employees need help, not more stores. The Dollar General revolving door would slow down if you increased you employee count by just 1 in each store. You have them all over the store doing everything and that takes away from their positive mental thinking and Customer care. You can't move beside a old country store and steal their business if you don't offer the old country store personal attention.”

“This is a pretty good store. It is clean, and quite spacious. There's fairly little clutter anywhere in the store, and it is well stocked. This place is generally well staffed and well cared for. The staff I have interacted with were okay.
It is a decently above average store. Recommended”
