“Needed to get my fingerprints done for a volunteer opportunity with a Fairfax County school. The closest option to my home was Hanmi Post. The location is tucked in the rear from the Main Street. The hours were serviceable, convenient and plentiful. I was in the store for less than 5 minutes, I had a scheduled appointment for 10:00 a.m., and was walking out by 10:03 a.m. The gentleman working was very soft spoken, polite and courteous. Would recommend this location if you need fingerprints done. Enjoy!”
“One of a very few usps I would give 4 Stars. Only for the Friendly and helpful stuff.
The -1 Star is for the temperature. It was freezing in there, same temperature like outside. Also The shipping forms was not stocked and labeled, so I had to stay in the like asking for a shipping form to fill it out afterwards and then to go back to the line to send off my package. Time consuming of 45min. But I wasn’t in the rush, just freezing ? and like i said, the stuff was very nice.”
“Absolutely love this small town post officer. The workers are extremely friendly and polite. Whenever I have questions they answer them and never make me feel like they are rushing me. I’ve been going here for over 10 years. They’re awesome!”
“Every time I step into this post office I feel like I’ve been transported to a small town lifetime movie set. I don’t know how these people are so nice but it’s so refreshing!”
“Jana created one of the most memorable and positive experiences I have ever had at the USPS. She carries herself with true professionalism, outstanding communication skills, and exceptional customer care. Her kindness, efficiency, and willingness to help truly saved the day for me and my family. Employees like Jana reflect the very best of public service, and I am deeply grateful for her support.”
“I visited this post office today for a new passport, I was helped by Sunisa. 2 yrs ago she also assisted me with my kids passports. She is always so friendly and provides the best customer service. I really appreciate her making the process so easy and pleasant. Thank you Sunisa for all you do!”
“The branch is ok, not too crowded on Wednesday noon. No wifi, free parking.
Service is fine and not slow.
It has lots of gift cards and wrapping here. Takes credit cards and apple pay.”
“Their service is amazing, they are really nice, this is my first time applying for a passport so there are a lot of unknowns but they are really patient with me and spend a lot of time with me.”
“This the number one Post office. Friendly team and helpful. I have been going to this post office for several years. They really take care of their customers. Best team ever!!!!”
“Went to the Pomfret Post Office after work today to mail a package to a friend. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very quick service, in and out in 3 minutes, no line. Excellent!”
“Passport Services! We’ve done and renewed passports for our kids here for years and today was a shockingly awesome experience :) I regret not getting the name of the man who helped us but it’s a Tuesday morning so if you’re considering getting your passport done here - try for Tuesday and maybe you’ll catch him if you’re lucky.
In and out in ten minutes. He took a passport photo of our daughter that might be the single best photo we have of her and she’s ten! And he was just a lovely person on top of that.
Thank you!”
“Our postal carrier, Mohammed, is absolutely the best! He makes every effort possible to deliver mail, even in the toughest times. Also, he’s personable and knows the older neighbors. He’s great! Happy Postal Day on February 4th!”
“I REALLY wish I lived closer to this Post Office so I could come here all the time. There were four employees working, and every one of them were lovely. Friendly, helpful, could speak other languages for those customers who needed that assistance… exceptional location.”
“I am definitely giving 5 stars because of the lady who was working today around 4 PM. She provided awesome customer service and was very helpful and professional. I was sending a letter through the post office, and she guided me kindly throughout the process. She is the reason for this review. Thank you for your excellent service, ma’am!”
“All these negative reviews, all outdated by postal snobs. They are efficient, polite and do the mail. Wtf. I have a friend from the UK named Timmons who knows his stuff about post offices, he says this is better than anything in the UK.”
“Based on the reviews, went to this post office for a mail issue with the lowest of expectations. However, I found the staff there to be prompt and courteous. Got what I needed in less than a minute.”
“When my fiance and I experienced a mail mix up of our own fault, Patrick at the Duke St location was very kind and helpful in getting our mail returned to us. Thank you!”
“I don’t know why this office has such bad reviews. It’s always the same woman when I go and she’s always very quick and helpful with whatever service I need. The office itself is well stocked in supplies.”
“Such a sweet girl working here. I'm not the biggest fan of small talk and yet I found myself chatting away with her. Definitely lucky that this is my neighborhood post office!”
“I read a lot of the 1 star comments before posting my review because I was curious what was so horrible about this place. And wow do you people need to get a grip on reality.
Those complaining about the lunch time, one even saying they should add staff to rotate so its not closed for lunch, do you say that about doctors offices or other professions that go to lunch? Everyone deserves and is LEGALLY required to have a lunch break. If you dont like the hours, don't blame the location, call the main office and complain, it's them who set the time.
Those complaining that they are asked to leave at 5pm closing time, tell me this, do you leave your job at the end of your shift or do you stick around and continue working without being paid? They have a hard enough job as it is with people yelling at them all day for things out of their control, they have families and a life they'd like to get back to just like you.
Victoria, the older lady I see people complaining about, is a good caring woman. Every time she see's me she asks how my mother is doing and we have a nice little chat with smiles and laughter! Would you like to know why I get that treatment? Because I'm kind and understanding of her position, and the struggles of her job. Customer service is a rough job no matter the place, and if you do it long enough, you get tired of people's attitudes and harassments and start giving it back, so I don't blame her for how she treats some of you with the attitudes I'm reading you're giving her. Put yourself in others shoes before you judge!
Thank you Victoria for always being so kind to me and my mother, you don't deserve the way you're treated!”
“We made an appointment here for a new passport. We had all the supporting information with us and the forms filled out ahead of time and everything. We showed up 10 minutes early as they recommend. After only a few minutes, they processed everything super quickly, knew exactly what they were doing, and we got out of there before our appointment was even supposed to start! Excellent service and I recommend this location for any passport stuff in the area over other local post offices. We appreciate it!”
“Great location! Great staff! Hard workers! Knowledgeable team!...for such a high volume location with snobby customers that have No class.
Great job USPS!! Stay strong and keep doing your best. AMERICA NEEDS YOU ?”
“There are a lot of negative reviews here, and I understand why. The office isn’t always open during posted hours, and the system often seems to be down. That said, I want to leave a positive review for Mercedes at this USPS location. She is absolutely wonderful—consistently helpful, kind, and friendly—and she truly goes out of her way to make sure everything is handled correctly. Customer service like hers makes a real difference, and it’s always a pleasure being helped by her. USPS is lucky to have Mercedes.
Unfortunately, the experience with other postal workers, especially on weekends, often leaves much to be desired.
The 5 stars is for Mercedes, 1 star for this location. Avoid if possible.”
“Excellent to so so service in this post office - depending on who is working. After going to this post office since 2023 I can say overall the service is mostly excellent. A few times it was disconcerting to see how dismissive, unprofessional , and cold the service was especially when it took a long time for someone to finally assist me when there were no lines, ringing the bell, and no one in the post office. I took one star off for the times that happened.”
