“This five star is for PAUL and Paul only. I only visit when he’s working which tends to be weekdays. Paul is ridiculously efficient, kind, friendly and will have you in and out within five mins. If you happen to visit on no-Paul day.::Good luck.I’ve never encountered a more poorly run and serviced post office than this location on King Street. They NEVER have enough people staffed on weekends. My God, you are the sole post office in a very dense populated area and management can’t simply staff at least TWO attendants on weekends? It’s unfathomable and completely ridiculous. The lines are constantly wrapped around and out of the door. Please do better USPS.”

“I find most of the staff here want to do a good job. Sometimes they are understaffed. Sometimes they are out of stock of certain types of stamps. There was recently a month where they had no international stamps. And sometimes they seem quite confident of what they think are the rules and maybe there is a little gray in those rules. All of my critiques are those of the system they work in - not the individuals who work there. They are working in a system that does not allow them to excel at times. If it were just the staff there, I would give them a 5. Considering some of my other comments, I would probably give it a 3.5 or 4. I hope they keep trying.”

I completed it and paid for the postage. She politely let me know in the future I should use a larger box to fit the customs paper in it, but she would allow it this time.”

“I was expecting a package from overseas and received a notice that it was undeliverable because the sender had put an incorrect address, so it was going to be returned to sender. I drove to the Memorial Branch on Duke St., and the Post Office employee was able to search the back room and find the package for me. I was so grateful! I also get great service from my Postal Carrier, Maria. I can’t say enough about how good our Postal Service in Old Town Alexandria is!”

“In months/years past, the reviews listed below represent all customers that had no choice but to use Kingstowne PO - including myself. The staff were rude, angry, and treated customers as if we were interrupting their job, when WE ARE THEIR JOB. This was consistent and not just a singular event.But, I'd like to point out that in the past several months, there is a new Postal Team at the Kingstowne Post Office, and they are kind, courteous, and good natured in their assistance. This is a HUGE IMPROVEMENT from the staffing last year and years prior. Please continue to hire folks like them! I actually walk out each time relaxed and smiling. Love the Kingstowne PO team!!”
