I tried making an appointment yesterday and after waiting 16 mins on hold I finally got a hold of a receptionist named Angel. She asked a few verification questions in a very uninterested manner and then started saying “hello?”, “hello?” as if we lost connection. I answered back and said “hello, can you hear me?” and after a few awkward seconds she says “yes ma’am” and then the call ends. I waited over 16 mins to try and make an appointment and also tried calling a few times prior to this attempt but the phone line was out of service, yet this receptionist could not have called me back and mention we got “disconnected”? It’s very difficult to make an appointment with this practice and Inova really needs to look into making their services easier for their patients. This is why urgent cares are full because people cannot get appointments in with their provider.

On May 30th. I took my daughter for her physical with Dr. Abdul-Rahman who informed us that she is up for 2 vaccines and he even asked the nurse if they had them in stock and she said yes so, when it was time to have them, this nurse said that "because of her insurance"I should take my daughter to another place for the vaccines which surprised me since this provider accepts her insurance and shouldn't be a problem, and even told me to ask her school to provide them so, I called my insurance that confirmed that the vaccines were supposed to be given at her physical visit because they are providers. Why this "nurse" LIED to us??? obviously she didn't care and didn't want to do it and HATE to use the discrimination card but, this action shows it and damages the doctor's performance and the staff in this office.

I have been seen by Amanda Dickey a few times, and she is amazing. She listens to my needs, and you can tell she really cares and is passionate about her job. Amanda listens to what I have to say and gives you the bigger picture to think about. I never feel pressured, and when I leave our appointment, I feel like I am leaving with much more knowledge than when I started. If I were just basing this review on her provided care, this post would get 5 stars. However, initially, it was difficult to get an appointment at a time when I really needed one. Offering more times or being able to squeeze a patient in, when the situation warrants it, would be a good thing to provide, especially for those who have been with the practice for years.

At the end of January, 2023, I got a huge bill after a routine abdomen ultrasound for hepatitis B at INOVA in Gainesville, VA. A bill of $1,416.00 from INOVA Fairfax hospital (for using INOVA machine) and $212.00 from Fairfax Radiological Consultant LLC (for ultrasound technician). After Cigna Open Access adjustment, I have to pay $964 and $137 respectively. A total of $1,101 for under 20 minutes ultrasound. It is unbelievable especially for people living paycheck to paycheck like me. Called insurance twice and Billing department once without result but understood how I got the two bills.I will never come to this facility again. There is no price list for customer to select or price range for specific service. Just come, get service and have a surprised bill later. I will try not to do it or go to Fairfax Radiology office in Centreville 20121 (cross Cinemax) if I am forced to do ultrasound again to have my medicine refill. All in all, it is a sad story.

Avoid. Find other care. Despite having a deep bench, they assign you to one provider and make it difficult/impossible to see someone else. If I wanted to be stuck with one doctor's schedule, I would go to a solo GP. And, you don't ever see a doctor. Appointment times are a lie. They don't respect patients.

"Getting sick is never easy, but receiving care should be! 7 days a weeks, come see a physician, ur care is our call!Inova remains committed!"The reason why I know these lines by heart, is because you are always on hold hearing these promises, but when you need an appointment, there is never one available! It is extremely difficult getting an appointment here. The representative will assess your needs as non-urgent (if you dont want to discuss personal problems with them) so they'll give you an appointment 6 weeks out. Highly inconvenient.

I had an appointment with a NP this past Friday, I noticed that they had called my phone that morning (never left me a voicemail message)… so I called the office back seeing what they wanted. I reached a front staff member who proceed to place me on hold for 15 minutes while she “researches” why I was called. After holding for so long I finally hung up. I arrived at my 12:45 appointment at 12:30, checked in and was asked to have a seat. At 12:50!!!!!!! I was called up to the front desk and was told that my provider had a family emergency and she is NOT IN THE OFFICE TODAY! Are you kidding me? I asked why I was not informed that morning or when I first arrived!?!!!! He says that he FORGOT to tell me. I took off time from work for this appointment! I’ve been coming to this same practice for over 8 years….. I am not sure I will be back. Sad customer service.

I have been a patient here for years and have been very happy. I've had 3 different providers and they have all been excellent. My current provider, Dr. Abdul, is exceptionally caring and competent. All the nurses, techs, lab people and receptionists are very good. I love the patient portal which allows me to easily communicate and check test results. It is great for appt. reminders. Their telemedicine component is simply to use and great for minor issues. It's also handy to have Inova imaging down the hall.

Avoid at all costs. This first and last time going to Inova urgent care. Usually, my family goes Patient's First Urgent care. I had a spine pain, and needed an xray (had a script). They indicated they were participating providers to my insurance. However, what they don't tell you is that they will bill each portion of the visit separately. So, rather than billing for an urgent care visit with a 20 dollar copay for the Xray, I paid for an xray separate, and two separate charges for each read, which results in a total out of pocket after insurance of over 500 dollars.Communicating with my insurance, they said that providers have the choice on how they bill the services they offer, and I would recommend that patients choose who they decide provides their care. Do not use Inova go to Patient First.

I want to thank this facility for all their hard work! Front desk laddies very kind and helpful at my time of check in! I also want to knowledge the nurse, who I missed to get her name. She was very welcoming and kind, well prepared to proceed with testing that had to get done knowing my conditions and that I had just arrived from out of the country. Very well organized on how to proceed for when the doctor would come to see me. I have to say in my whole life of going to doctors, I have never felt in good hands like I did today. Doctor Abdul-Rahman was amazing! To start with he was very welcoming.I felt cared for and walked out with hopes that my asthma can be under control with the right treatment. He was very knowledgeable with every detail he explained and helped me understand how we should be treating my health condition. He ensured not to overload me with meds but instead helped me understand how to follow the right steps and start taking the treatments that is best for me. As I walked out I wanted to cry because my health conditions are really not under control and I feel its just getting worse with time but Doctor Abdul-Rahman made me feel that I’m in the right place for the best treatment and care not only for me but for my whole family who I will be bringing to this facility. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work and dedication put into every patient! ?? The feeling when you find good care from a medical facility is priceless! I recommend this place with 10 stars ⭐️ if I could.

Been dealing with a billing issue for a year. Billed my mental health provider instead of my medical provider (no clue why). Charged me out of network and when I called to fix it I got passed between 4 departments and everyone said “I can’t help you”. Might just pay the money and not go back.

My main complaint about this Inova location is the scheduling & reception staff. I've called for appointments & had to call several times. I have been hung up on twice after reaching someone. If you are Ill you can never get an appointment the same day. I should have stayed at the Oakton location. They are professional.

They are the worst! They can't even manage to schedule you an appointment for a visit . Every doctor works from home they don't have a set schedule, they don't care about the patients they will cancel your appointment the day before. The most unprofessional people & rude on top of that. Maybe if you are interested in a virtual visit this place is for you! But I'm sure your insurance offers virtual visit too & FREE. Save your time & energy.

I'm one of the patient here. I keep on calling to follow up my prescription refill but they don't care, they don't answer back. I wait for the whole day for their call back but I never received call from my Dr. or nurse. My prescription refill was expired and I ask my Dr. for a new refill so I can get my med. I'm out of my med.
