Used to love going to this place years ago for an oil change. Now when you make an appointment for one, be prepared to wait for an hour or two until they either start working on it or finish. Had an appointment at 11:30a, it is now 1:50p and they still have not started on my car. They also love to send you coupons of their services via mail after you get them done which is sooo cool.Update: we went home.

They misdiagnosed the problem and literally broke my vehicle which I drove to their Gainesville service center. I had to tow the vehicle to BMW dealership and they fixed everything in few hours. This place is poorly managed and they are ill trained. Stay away from this place and you will be able to save thousands by saving the lifetime of your vehicle…Wanted to add an update: BMW called me yesterday evening and informed me that the protective engine cover was missing from the vehicle. So, I contacted your Gainesville location, and they acknowledged having it.I'm quite bewildered by the highly unprofessional behavior of your Gainesville manager. He failed to ensure that the vehicle was properly reassembled before returning it to us. It almost sounded as if they were trying to hide the fact that they hadn't replaced the protective cover, possibly to conceal their mistake. When I went to pick up the cover, I didn't receive an apology, but I didn't expect one from such unprofessional management either.

Working things out with the service manager & he has provided some good recommendations so far. It looks like they were able to do it right 2nd time around and found the problem. I'm working w them to figure out cost & labor for final fix. That's all we ask for - an honest merchant to keep going back to.

Went in for s simple oil change, inspection, and emission. Had an appointment. Thought it would take up to an hour (wasn't told any different). Waited for 4 hours for it to be complete. No explanation on why the delay - nothing. This is the last time I'll take my vehicles into Virginia Tire and Auto.

The service here has consistently been bad. Several times I have came here to get my tire checked and no one would even talk to me. I just left and went to a gas station nearby to get my tire plugged. I don't like to leave bad reviews on any business but maybe if an owner emailed me I can tell them what happened in the other issues I experienced.

They inflate their labor costs to make extra profit i.e. quoted it would take 3 hours to do a job that two other places said only took 2 hours. When I shared this with them, they said they would match the price, but why would I give them the business when they started with a quote with inflated labor costs. They charge $150 an hour for labor. They are ripping people off. Also, this branch has a horrible policy of requesting deposits for jobs under $500, and requesting payment over the phone before a vehicle is picked up. Why would one prepay for services not yet rendered, especially when it's under $1,000, and why would a person pay over the phone rather than when they pick up their vehicle. All this being said, I suspect dishonest and poor management is the culprit, which means their culture has severely declined.

My safety inspection sticker was due to expire at the end of this month. So I came into the shop to get my inspection. Because it was Friday afternoon, and the last weekday of the month, the car line was understandibly long. However, the inspector's name tag read, "Happy". I don't know if that's his real name, but it cheered me up a bit. He pointed out that I needed to replace a rusted out muffler clamp. So I agreed, since the car wouldn't pass inspection without this being fixed. Mr. "Happy" mechanic/inspector fixed it right up. I know these guys work very hard for their pay. So I am gratefull for your service - Mr. "Happy" :)

"Happy" and Garrett are in beast mode this morning. Always the worst when you wait until the last minute for the emission's test but these two are doing the absolute BEST to get people in, out, and on the road. Much appreciated you two! Management, give them a nod.

Absolutely great service. Robert provided excellent customer service. I needed to be out by a certain time and he met my needs to the fullest. I wasn't turned away with my last minute issue, Robert found a way to squeeze me in and provide the service that was needed for my vehicle. They valued my time.

4 hours wait for an oil change even with an appointment. It’s not the first time I’ve waited an excessive amount of time here, but it will be the last. Just an update that it actually took 4 hours 45 minutes to get my car. And then I was told it was due to my request for an inspection. But, that was a lie. I watched my car sit in the parking lot for 3 hours before they even bothered to take it back to start the oil change. I finally got it back and it was making a weird sound when I opened the door. Went back inside and they came out with me. Told me it was normal. Nope - after 7 years of owning the car and it has never made this sound. Well turns out they touched every single button in my car including turning my headlights from auto to on which then triggers the alarm. You know, an alarm to say hey your headlights are on, turn them off before your battery dies. You’d think a mechanic would know that? But hey what do I know, I’m just the one who was completely ignored when she recognized that something was different with her car.Services: General repairs & maintenance

Had to wait in line for 2 hours (normal for the time of day we went for emissions). The whole time we waited we saw Happy, who was working on emissions/inspections working so hard. He was moving efficiently to make sure the line was moving faster. He was great to speak with and had our car in and out. Even after the amount of work he was doing he was so nice and pleasant with us. The overall staff was great.

Best aspect of this place is state inspections while you wait. But you have to get in line early. If there are more than four cars in line, which is usually the case, expect to wait over an hour. Other services are best scheduled. This place always has more business than it can handle, and customers are always frustrated with the wait. But the quality of the work is good. They will not repair your tire if punctured anywhere near the outer tread.

After 11 years of taking 4-5 cars here for tires/oil changes and having spent over $8000 at this location, I will not be giving them any more business. The manager J. Wells not only did not price match as they claim due to the tire being a different model (which they put the wrong tire on), but he also refused to change the tire to the correct tire model. He valued approx $50-60 of tire model difference or $35 of tire change mount balance over my long standing business with the store, unfortunately for him- there are other shops.
