Where do I start. My main complaint is mail service. Ever since living here it’s always been bad but in the last 2 yrs it’s been at an all time low. We constantly get the wrong mail. My mailbox is clearly marked and the inside of the mailbox is marked. So No clue there! When we get a delivery that needs to be signed, rather than knock on the door they leave a label that’s half filled out! Had to go there to pick it up because “shocker” the label was of no help. The clerk was nice but there is no hurry in this place. When I mentioned that the label is incomplete and that we were home. I was told that the drive probably didn’t want to knock on our door., “Do what?!?!” Hoping this is a learning experience for them.

I haven’t had too many issues with the post office itself here besides being sad to see the outside collection boxes being removed last year. What was that about? Why would you remove them and create more traffic inside the local post office?
But for many years now since i’ve lived in Glen Allen our regular outgoing mail in the mailbox on our street has not been getting picked up & things take very long past expected dates to be delivered from just a few counties over via USPS. The local mail carriers never pick up your outgoing mail unless they have incoming mail to drop off.
I’m just thoroughly fed up with it as it’s gone on for years & the post-people have zero shame about giving x-mas cards at the end of the year every year for tips taboot 😂 when they don’t even do the job…
I am almost considering putting in preemptive missing mail pick up requests the day before I put something out because I know they will never come pick it up from the box despite it being out first thing in the morning with the flag up & they don’t make their rounds until late afternoon.
I’ve also for many many years had my USPS deliveries marked via tracking as “delivered” when they weren’t, and they show up the next business day. I didn’t start putting all of this together until I read more about this being common occurrences in other places with USPS and that it ISN’T normal at all.
They should always come pick up your mail every time your flag is up if put out at the right time. I have no obstructions to my mailbox what so ever. It’s wide out in the open with zero shrubbery or anything by it. It makes zero sense and
at this point it’s just a total joke…
What is the deal henrico county USPS?

Walked in for stamps, 6 people ahead of me. I left 15 minutes later with the same 6 people ahead of me. Worst Post Office in American history.

I think they're stealing our packages and mail. Apparently no one cares anymore. Helpful humans are not available.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the only post office that has ever treated me like absolute dirt. The employees are beyond rude and so confrontational. They will do anything to make sure you don’t get your mail or make it the most challenging experience possible. I’ve never been so appalled by such horrible customer service.

For USPS this location is honestly pretty good. I’ve been many times in the past few months for a variety of things and they’re always willing to answer questions. They don’t necessarily go above and beyond in their desire to help customers but I can always get done what’s needed. Recently I needed to mail something ground and only had a priority box. I covered 85% of it with white paper and labels but there was still some red sticking out designating it as originally a priority box. The other gentleman seemed to want to help and ship my item anyway but Jeff was a stickler for the rules, which I get. He kindly helped me repack it and mail - but then charged me $4 for the box unexpectedly. At my firm we would have just comped the box but I guess a government institution doesn’t really have incentive to so that. Anyway, overall I always have a positive experience with just slight annoyances as can be expected from USPS. Compared to other locations this one is solid.

All good! Ran in, dropped package off and got receipt. Easy peasy.

Hey Jeff, life is too short to be rude! Damn! Show some kindness to your customers, it’s not difficult! Though reading through reviews it’s seems to be your norm, very unfortunate!

Guy charged me extra to send mail that was claimed to be non-machineable when it certainly was fine before.
