The hotel requires immediate attention to address sanitation concerns. Specifically, the presence of black mold within the air conditioning vents, pervasive mold and urine odors in the rooms necessitates prompt remediation.

Small glitch when the elevator broke but it was repaired right away.

I just wanna start out by saying that the only reason that they’re even getting a one star review from me is because the front desk and the staff were extremely friendly and extremely tentative however, they don’t have much to work with IHD has definitely felt short on making sure that this hotel has what it needs. We were eaten alive by ants both nights to the point where there were hundreds of them in our beds they sent someone up to try to spray the room, the rooms are completely wet, smelling, and moldy smelling so it wouldn’t have done much good. There’s a big ant problem within the entirety of the hotel. We stayed in room 313 but it was horrendous But again I can’t complement the staff enough because they really truly did go above and beyond what they could do, IHG get your stuff together give this hotel the funds that it needs to be able to live up to the reputation that you’ve built.

After reading reviews we decided to stay here. I'm sorry we did the rooms were not clean, the carpet was thirty the bathroom floor was terrible some sort of dead bugs on floor! One of the queen beds was broken it came up on one side when you sat on it. We won't be staying here again.

After seeing the rooms, we wish there were other hotels available in Gloucester. Elevator is sketchy at best, always sounds like it’s about to break and fall. Rooms are absolutely disgustingly, abysmal and smell like a combination of mold and wet. Had to spend three hours cleaning the room ourselves just to make it Passable. Beds are hard and sag in the middle. Pool was oddly, cloudy for their not being anybody near it. If you have to stay here, just close your eyes and don’t spend any time looking around for things you don’t wanna find.Fantastic staff though.

Our three night/ four day stay was cut to two nights after having tree sap on my car, no towels, sheets, blankets, or pest control for the ants that invaded the bathroom. Once my kids started saying they were being bit by the ants and nothing being done to address it, I had to cut our trip short. What was supposed to be a memorable weekend to celebrate my cousin’s wedding ended up being my worst experience with an IHG hotel and visit to my hometown. The wedding was great, but the accommodations were unacceptable.

The elevator is sketchy. Our room was on the top floor so a lot of walking. Excellent breakfast options. The staff was friendly, especially Tina (housekeeper). A bit on the pricey side. Nice 5'6 pool

The first desk clerk was wonderful and got us squared away however when our key stopped working the next lady was rude and wouldn’t even speak to us. She did give us new keys but was unpleasant. The second day no housekeeping was done. They did take our towels and not replace them but I guess it didn’t matter because the next day we couldn’t even take a shower because there wasn’t hot water. Additionally, there was a parking lot full of people partying late at night. Would not stay here again.

Staff at reception are often away (back-in-a-moment sign often displayed).
The complimentary breakfast is only ok, certainly nothing great.
And today (Saturday, May 17), after a scorcher yesterday and today also pretty warm, we learn that the outdoor pool is STILL closed! The fact that they're finally opening it up tomorrow is of no interest to all of us who are checking out tomorrow morning. Is it really too much to ask to have a swimming pool operational during hot weather? 🤔

From Louisiana to here, this place is our little slice of comfort. The rooms are always spotless, the water feels amazing, and the beds make every night feel like a dream—especially with those cloud-like pillows! ☁️ The friendly and professional front desk staff makes every visit feel effortless. It’s a must-stay for us every time we’re in town.

I travel to hotels year-round, but I will not be returning to this hotel.
