“Built in 1804! Of all the post offices I've seen, and there's been quite a few, this is one of the top ten. A landmark in Hadensville, this vintage post office is beautifully maintained. The exterior is fabulous! The cream and rust colored paint, the tree trunk columns, the wrought iron- all add the the charm and allure of this post office, which used to be a general store. I love when government post offices are unique and have so much character!Inside is an incredible museum of the post office, with antiques, old photos, and lots of wood and brass fixtures, even a wood stove! Cameron, the postmaster, was kind enough to give us a mini history of the area and welcomed us like we were old friends! They sold the elephant stamps which I hadn't seen before! The hours are M-F 9-1, Saturday 8:30-12.”

“Cutest little post office that's tucked off the main road on Rt. 250 in Gum Springs. I mean, look how small it is! I think the shed in my backyard is bigger than this diminutive government building. And I wouldn't change a thing! There's a drive by mailbox for posting letters or small packages outside, and inside it's neat as a pin and stocked! They are opened M-F from 9:30-1, 1:30-4:00, and Saturday 8:30-12. Limited services include money orders, no passport services. Tiny but mighty post office that you won't find long lines! Love the daffodils out front too!”

“Good things come in small packages! This small post office packs a punch! Great selection of stamps, I got 6 different designs! They had a nice amount of shipping supplies and greeting cards. It was clean as a whistle and the clerk was so nice and helpful! When I complimented her on her sunny disposition, she said, "I try to be positive, I love my job!" Wow! If you live in Goochland, I hope you appreciate what a lovely little post office you have! I did!! My stamp of approval!!”
