Online the booking looked like it was a 2 bedroom suite. No, it was just one room with 2 full beds and a kitchen in the same space. The room is fine but it was not what we needed or expected.

There was a large family reunion checking in and only one person at the front desk. He was extremely nice and very patient considering the circumstances. I paid a little over $1,000 for two nights in a hotel where the neither bathroom door closed and the carpeted area looked like something out of an old motel that hadn't been updated in 50 years! Again, the front desk support was extremely professional and helpful but they could only make sure that carpet is shampooed before the next guest. Some people do not take the time to clean up dog poop so it is the hotel's responsibility to shampoo the spots between guests. I was given 6,000 points for my disconfort but I paid 1k for a executive room that I had hoped my sisters to return to after our brother's funeral. We were much more comfortable in hotel breakfast area rather sitting around a table with soiled carpet and not being able to have a private bathroom because the doors did not close.

We arrived around 5pm. Went to our room only to discover the blinds did not go up or down and there was a huge gap on each end that would allow light all night in the room. I called for maintenance and finally around 745pm I went to front desk to see why no one came. He radioed maintenance and maintenance man came to desk. He went with me back to room. He looked at it and said the blinds hand been put in backwards. He said we may have to move but he’d check on it. At 930pm still no information so I went back to desk only to be told we NOW need to move. Mind you we’ve been in car all day and a hot shower and bed were very much anticipated. Now we have to pack up stuff and move. Finally get all settled around 11pm. Was told by two front desk people that they would issue 20,000points for the inconvenience. Parking is a nightmare as we are handicapped and the sings out front are designated for vans only all others towed. I asked and was told “I guess Hampton city has rules”. Only to google it several days later that we WERE allowed to park there. After several mishaps, we decided to check out a day early. Never got the points for the arrival fiasco. It’s sad because we have daughters there and come to the area at least once a year. It will be more this year as one daughter will be getting married in 2026 and lots of dress shopping, venue checking , showers…we would have made this our go to as it’s only 15 minutes away from daughter. Also NEVER felt so unappreciated as lifetime platinum Bonvoy member in my life.

I want to warn future guests about my terrible experience at this property. During my recent stay, the cleaning staff stole personal belongings from our room — my Free People jean jacket and my husband’s limited edition sweatshirt were taken directly from the closet. This was not a simple mistake but outright theft, and it seems this may not be an isolated incident.
When we brought the matter to the attention of the manager, Debbie Brown, we were met with indifference and no accountability. She appeared to suggest the blame was somehow ours, showing absolutely no remorse or willingness to resolve the situation. It’s extremely disappointing to encounter such poor customer service, especially from a hotel that operates under the Marriott umbrella.
I am shocked that Marriott allows this kind of behavior to continue unchecked. There was no offer of compensation or sincere apology, which only adds to the frustration and disappointment. I share this warning so others can protect themselves — do not leave any belongings unattended in your room. The staff here cannot be trusted, and management shows no concern for guest welfare or satisfaction.
I sincerely hope Marriott takes these reports seriously and investigates this property’s practices.

I'd love to tell y’all how the room was but truth is, i never got one. showed up and they was overbooked.
I get it that things happen, but platinum plus with marriott and they're supposed to help you find another place and offer compensation. None of that happened and felt like they just wanted me gone. If you’re a Bonvoy member and expectin to be treated right, this ain’t the place.

We booked thru the bonvoy app about 3 hrs before arriving and were told the hotel was overbooked. The front desk did not call or email regarding the overbooking. We had unloaded our 2 month old and all our luggage to check in and when I asked why they didn’t notify us the manager claimed they didn’t have our phone number (it’s attached to our bonvoy account) and they didn’t bother emailing because “people don’t check their email while traveling”. They did not help us find other accommodation aside from telling us all marriotts in a 30 min radius were booked. We sat in the lobby while my infant (and I) cried and looked for somewhere else up stay. At 11pm no less. Another couple came in and the staff helped them find a quality inn nearby and we followed. When we left the elements lobby at 11 there was a domestic dispute occurring, police were on scene (pictured).
The quality inn the manager suggested we go to had 2.3 stars on Google reviews and that was too high a rating. I killed two bugs, fridge didn’t work, sheets stained, puke in the hallway, no smoke alarm. (Pictured).
The first corporate call offered to refund the points we booked with. ( we weren’t staying with Marriott so obviously we deserved a refund). When I asked for compensation they said no. When I asked to speak to a manager they said no. They refused to give me their name and stopped responding on the line to get me to hang up.
I called again got escalated to a manager who told me they would not compensate anything for the overbooking regardless of status.

Very clean, friendly staff, close to restaurants. Spacious and modern room. We walked to restaurants and stores. Very good for the price. Would definitely return.Rooms: Everything you need was in the room, like an Airbnb.Food & drinks: Breakfast was varied. Had a little for everyone in a large space with helpful staff. Had made to order eggs and bacon.

They overbooked the kitchenette rooms which was the only reason I booked this hotel in the first place since I have medically necessary dietary restrictions. So now I have to survive on popcorn and overpriced specialty restaurants. Very disappointing.Noteworthy details: The door is slanted and sticks and the locking mechanism isn't unlatching from the inside every time the handle is turned.

First time staying here. How did I not know about this hotel? Truly a nice hotel in the midst of plenty of restaurants and entertainment in walking distance. Nice and roomy and very reasonably priced and really clean. Coffee was available 24/7. I had a cappuccino at 10pm and the machine steamed my milk. Fan! The breakfast was tasty and my omelet was made to order. Super nice and smiling staff. Alright now Element Hampton! I'm definitely a fan and will patronize again when I'm in the area. It's a must stay!Rooms: Rooms were spacious and the shower had great water pressure.Nearby activities: Has bowling and movies nearby with a short walk across the parking lot.Walkability: In the midst of shopping, food and entertainment easily walked to.Food & drinks: Various restaurants and beverages available to suit your palate.

I don't often do reviews but this hotel impressed me. It was honestly one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed at. The omelet station chef does a fantastic job making breakfast for a ton of travelers and has a smile and conversation for you every morning. He deserves a raise or a bonus or something. He is an asset to your hotel. The whole team down there in the breakfast area are super nice! We'll be back!Rooms: You have a fridge, microwave, and a kitchen sink in the room. Dishes, cups and silverware for 4 people. Great value for the price.Safety: The front doors to the hotel lock after a certain time (sunset) and you have to use your hotel key card to get in.Walkability: Right at the center of Hampton, very convenient to everything.Food & drinks: Breakfast includes a yogurt station with all the fixings, a cook-to-order station where the chef will cook your eggs to order and you get a side of home fries and choice of meat (bacon/sausage) with it. I'm vegetarian and he made me a vegetarian omelet. They are all very friendly down there.

I really wanted to give this hotel 3.5 in the ratings but 3 was the only option. There are small things about our stay that could have made all the the difference from an ‘ok’ stay to a hotel to come back to- for ex. complimentary bottle of water, pampering body towels (and not small towels that barely cover half of your body) a comfortable bed.. ours was reasonable and not amazing…everything felt very basic. You should always think about the small and inexpensive things that can improve the hospitality experience for your guests

So I booked a room at The Element Hotel for my birthday, and from the start of it I was a little nervous because I didn't like the pictures that were on the website. It made everything looked really crammed together in my opinion, but I still decided to give it a try. I booked my room for 4 days/3 nights and the cost of it was reasonable. The day before my stay I received an email telling me it was time to check in which made me nervous, so I gave the hotel a call just to ensure that my dates were correct. I was reassured that everything was set up the way it was supposed to be so I was okay and did ask if there could be an early check-in the day before. I was advised to try to call about an hour before I would like to check-in to see if the room, I would be receiving would be clean at that time. The day of check-in, I called to see, and I will say that I went to the hotel early and forgot to call so I was not upset that at that time a room was not ready. When I went in, I was assured that they were working on my room, and I had a seat in the lobby. Now when I walked into this hotel, I can honestly say that the pictures do not do it any justice. It was beautiful and the aura of was amazing. There were two (2) young ladies that were assisting the guest, and they were pleasant and friendly. I was also told that because it was my birthday they were going to upgrade my room and put me on the third (3) floor. I was so excited because this service was already coming off as amazing. I go to get on the elevator and realize that you need a key card for the elevator to even move (LOVE THIS EXTRA SECURITY MEASURE). I get to my room and when I opened the door I was literally blown away. This room was absolutely amazing and once again the pictures did it absolutely no justice. This room was like an apartment, and I fell in love INSTANTLY. When doing my walk through (Which I always do for safety and security), every detail was mind-blowing. I only had one issue with my room and that was in the bathroom. Now I understood the contractor's vision of clean, sleek and modern, however, there was one minor detail that was left out. There is absolutely nowhere to put your stuff for a shower. Now they do have their own shampoo and body wash on the wall, but not everyone can use that. I had different items that I needed in the shower with nowhere to sit this stuff. To put it on the sink counter was too far and would wet up the entire bathroom from opening and closing the glass shower door. I did express this to one of the hotel employees on my first night in the hotel and they came and installed a shelf in the shower. That to me in top notch customer service. It really set the tone because it shows that they listen to the customer's needs. I also had an issue with being overcharged for incidentals, and guess what? The supervisor whose name is Isaiah went the extra mile to ensure that this was corrected and handled IMMEDIATELY. Due to this being my birthday week, I did have visitors to come spend time with me, however they had to check-in with the front desk as well as they would call me to ensure that this was okay for the people to come to my room. As much as that sounds like a hassle, it gave me a sense of safety that not just anyone can get to me, and I was protected. There was another hiccup that there was supposed to be scheduled maintenance in my room in the morning that I was not made aware of, which kind of threw me off however they apologized and stated I would not have to worry about that again for the rest of my stay, and I didn't. My overall stay at this hotel was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I would definitely stay at this particular location again, as well as recommend it to friends and family. I wish there was a way that I could stay here again soon. Thank you for the experience @The Element Hotel
