Books-A-Million in Harrisonburg is a great bookstore with a large selection of all genres, bestsellers, manga, and timeless classics. It also offers unique gifts, whimsical trinkets, and collectibles. The store has a good atmosphere, is very clean, and features a coffee shop inside. Staff are really nice, friendly, and helpful, and the store is LGBTQ friendly. Some note the staff can sometimes feel over the shoulder, which may be uncomfortable. The store does not use plastic bags. Located in the Valley Mall, it is a thriving destination for knowledge and entertainment where everyone can discover a great read.
Great book selection, and the recommendations were actually helpful (I bought a book in the section for new series recommendations). The vinyl was limited. Bathrooms are not very clean. We didn't get coffee (we generally enjoy Joe Mugg), but we sent a bag to a military member.
