“My wife and I very much enjoyed our recent dinner at Joshua Wilton House. The quality of the cooking is quite high, with both duck breast and filet mignon cooked exactly as requested, and the crab beignet appetizer and the crème brûlée for dessert among the best dishes we have had in ages. Clam chowder and a green salad with gorgonzola and bacon were also outstanding, and a cut above similar dishes elsewhere in the area. Pre-dinner cocktails were well-prepared by the knowledgeable and skilled bartender. The high-ceilinged dining rooms, with white table cloths and comfortable chairs, are lovely as is the intimate bar area. Considering the high quality, the good wines by the glass, and the prix fixe offers available, the prices are reasonable for a special dinner out. Service is friendly and accommodating as well. Even though we live an hour away, we definitely plan to return soon.”

“A friend found this place on a whim. Didn't know what to expect. Loved it! Relaxing eclectic atmosphere. Bartender concocted a wonderful drink for me when I didn't know what I wanted. Can't wait to experience it again.”

“Super clean and updated. Pet friendly and Bill the manager was outstanding. We were so happy the first time we came back again!!!! Highly recommend!!!Rooms: Very nice kitchenette with a dishwasher. Also loved the loan cabinet in lobby, it was very well stocked.”

“We have stayed at Hotel Madison many times and this was by far the worst visit. I will say that Customer Service with front desk staff was 5 star throughout the visit, however, that was all that was good. We started off by being charged the wrong amount when adjusting our reservation (which they did fix), then upon arrival the curtain in our room looked like it had a stain from being thrown up on (ehhh), there was hair on the blankets and the heat ended up not working (they did switch our room). Once we were switched to the new and upgraded room there were no toiletries and it seemed as if not all of the typical cleaning checks had been completed. Not dirty per se, but def. not as clean as I would like. On top of all of the that we were charged for a cot which we were not told had a fee (it has never cost money in the past stays when we booked the same room and used a cot). Overall, disappointed that the Hotel cleanliness and upkeep seems to be going downhill from its open only a few years ago.”
