ATTENTION: BE VERY CAREFUL AT WESTBURY. Company double charges clients then refuses to help when asked. Dave Cousins, the general manager is NOT the guy I want running my company. Inflexible, defensive, abrupt, obtuse, arrogant.....not a manager type. Wife bought products for $100.00. Westbury charged her twice. Asked to do a simple refund, older lady, quite incapable, said she couldn't do that. Needed manager approval. Of course, Big Dave not around. Next employee, trying to help (hence the one star) actually ended up triple charging the same $100 purchase. She was able to reverse that charge, claiming that all was fixed and we should just wait "a few days" for it to reverse. Today made our fourth trip Westbury. Met Dave Cousins....awful experience. He refused to do a thing saying it had been handled. We went to our bank where they said they clearly see the three charges, the one reversal and two attempts to refund that WERE BOTH CANCELLED BY WESTBURY. PLACE IS STEALING MONEY. STAY AWAY. PLENTY OF GREAT PHARMACIES ALL AROUND.

Such a cute throwback spot. I wandered around in here for longer than I should have a few weeks back. This is a pharmacy/diner/toy store/home decor store? It has everything. On certain days they even have the Ms. Yoder's donut truck in the parking lot. On this day I happened to have my daughter with me and the cashier was so nice and gave her a balloon which worked wonders to keep her occupied while I browsed. Although I only got what I went in there for (shocking, honestly), I enjoyed my time and wouldn't hesitate to go back. I was really happy to see that the prices were great and not as high as I expected for a niche pharmacy.

They do NOT participate with Good RX or other prescription drug programs. They overcharge for medications that are easily half or a 1/4 the price at other pharmacies in town. Staff is also lackluster and not very friendly. I hadn't been to Westbury in years, but I will never be going back.

I am disabled and do not drive. When an Lyft driver took me to fill two prescriptions at midday, he could not wait the 20 minutes required for them to be filled. I stressed with the counter person that I had to have prescriptions today. She assured me that the pharmacy would charge them to the card on file and deliver today. I once emphasized I again I had to have them today. They were never delivered. When I called, the pharmacist did not apologize. He is kept saying,"Unfortunately, we do not deliver again until Monday." I could not wait until Monday. I need them now--Friday night! The pharmacy suggested I come get them. I explained again I cannot drive. This is a serious lapse in patient care. I am disappointed and very angry. My trust in Westbury is gone completely. Don't expect minimal patient care.

You can go to their Google page for updated reviews. AVOID THE PHARMACY AT ALL COSTS!!! If you have any family or friends that get meds there, urge them to double check they even have the right medication. They screw something up every time whether it's the pill count, the medication itself, the timeliness, the insurance paperwork and more. To top it all off, they take zero accountability and will blame the doctors office even when you have evidence, time stamped. They're rude, unprofessional, inexperienced and possibly the worst of all: have a complete disregard for a person's health and how they're actions can really harm a person's livelihood.

Westbury has to be the worst pharmacy in Richmond. Every single time I go there, the pharmacists screw up my prescriptions. I have only gone there the last several times because I had no choice, never again will I go there. I would rather wait until my Martins pharmacy opens or orders what I need, at least it will be correct. I would rate it a zero if I could.

More than 4 years ago this was the best pharmacy to go to. Everyone was so nice and helpful. About 2.5-3yrs ago either ownership changed or the owners, 2 brothers I believe, began working behind the pharmacy counter and treating people, at least myself, like complete garbage for picking up medication. I usually would go there to pick up my fathers medication, as he was in hospice care, and unable to leave his bed let alone our home. I've never felt so much like a criminal in my life before, all from picking up my father MUCH NEEDED medication!!!! Please find another local compounding pharmacy if that is what you need, there are 3-4 within a 15-20min drive of westbury that are far nicer and just as good if not better at their jobs. I don't wish any ill will or bad intentions on the owners or any employee's at Westbury, but the "owners" need to learn better people skills and not make people feel like they're doing something wrong picking up THEIR OWN MEDICATION!!!! Sorry for my rant but I felt it extremely necessary.

Very sorry to hear this place is closed but it's understandable when you read everything that has happened in that pharmacy department I have no pity for the ownership, they get what they deserve for letting this happen. It's sad to see an old traditional Richmondv institution like this go under it will be missed.

The pharmacy has a record of rudeness & poor customer service. The compounding pharmacy prescriptions are not ready at the correct time & the delivery service is completely unreliable. The first experience I had with a seizure medication prescription took me repeated phone calls & broken promises that resulted in it taking close to a week to have the prescription delivered.i was told by an employee that I would not be charged for the delivery because of the difficulty with their service & I was still charged the fee on delivery. You are treated in a dismissive rude manner by every employee you speak with in the pharmacy & delivery department.I work in medical field & have never experienced such total lack of respectful & reliable service.

I went to this place for 3 years for the same prescription every month. They never could get it right. I called in advance every month and they would still short me on my order and write me an IOU. Never heard of such a ridiculous thing. The staff is very short and rude as well. Only reason i kept putting up with it is because they were a little cheaper then everywhere else. It was not worth it. I should of paid extra just to not have to deal with these people. They would go as far as telling me my prescription was ready only to have me drive 20 minutes for them to only have about a third of it available. Never again now that I have insurance.

Westbury might be good for its food but the drug store is horrible, they don't know what they are doing. The owner of the Pharmacy is rude and nasty. My doctor prescribed one medication and they split it in two so they could charge me more money. I tried speaking to the owner to explain my concerns but he took it personal and became very unprofessional. I asked a question and he told me that I ask to many questions, he said he would prefer sending my prescription to another drugstore instead of dealing with the situation. He seems to be a very poor business man. Someone whom I would not trust filling my prescription. Almost all the people who work their are nasty but after dealing with the owner I can understand why they are like that, nobody knows what is going on. It's Crazy!! Your better off going to CVS or Walgreens. If you need a compound medication go to South River Compounding Pharmacy on the West End. I just moved to the area and it was one of the worst experiences yet.

I purchased a product to keep a bandage on my leg dry in the shower. Tried it, didn't like it. I attempted to return it since I didn't like it and would not use it. I was told it was a hygiene issue and could not be returned. I am stuck with something I will never use. I will gladly go to any other pharmacy, even Buford Rd. pharmacy and it is all the way in Chesterfield.

My daughter had a terrible experience with them- had to go back multiple times for prescriptions, was denied medications that clearly had refills, and was treated very rudely by pharmacy staff. One pharmacist hung up on her when she was trying to clarify if her prescriptions were ready. This was for extremely important medication that she was told she could not get elsewhere in area. She would be told by Westbury that they had it in stock, then when she went to get it, would be told they didn't have it and had to order it. On another occasion she was advised she had already pick up medications she had not received, but this turned out to be a staff error. This necessitated multiple trips to the pharmacy wasting her gas money, and numerous phone calls. Her employer and physicians also had to intervene, as this was a work-related situation. I am a physician, and I would advise my patients to go elsewhere.

I always filled my prescription here. I ended up going to Kroger pharmacy around the corner instead because they never had my full 3 month supply on hand. They were nice enough to offer delivering it but if it's a pharmacy, they should have all the supplies.

Wesbury Pharmacy has been a Richmond establishment for more than 50 years, and it's super fun for browsing. You'll find a traditional and compounding pharmacy, a gift shop, unique bath and body products and other random stuff. There's also a food counter in back that serves cheap home-style lunch favorites. There's also a great selection of chocolates and candies. On one side of the Pharmacy is Westbury Market, a kosher grocery store. There are lots of frozen kosher foods and cool jarred and canned items. I don't eat specifically kosher, but enjoy checking out the selection of specialty items. The market also carries Boar's Head Deli Meat and some prepared foods. On the other side is Wesbury Gallery, a home decor shop. Basically, you can find almost anything in the Wesbury complex.
