I was significantly overcharged by PODs, many times and for charges I never authorized (and were not disclosed to me, were not amounts I was told). Many MANY hours of my time to try and resolve, even went to BBB. I got 40% of the overcharged amount back. They are the WORST. I warn you. Do NOT use them (check others reviews - I wish I had before using them)

Very disappointed. I signed up for moving and storage of a 16-foot pod. The only reason I selected the largest size was that the monthly storage fee was discounted to the same price as the 12-foot one on the website. Once the pod was delivered there was no option to schedule a pickup time, so I reached out to customer service. They said the order was for storage of the pod on my property (not what I thought I had signed up for) and that I needed to change the rental agreement to reflect off-site storage (what I thought I was getting). This of course raised the rental fee to full price for the large container size - I wouldn't have gone with that size to begin with, if that was the case, but it was already in my driveway... The whole service is now way more expensive than I was anticipating. Maybe it was my fault for not understanding what I was agreeing to in the initial setup. But it shouldn't be so unclear that you think you're getting one thing and end up with another. Just make sure you do your due diligence before thinking you're getting a good deal here. You likely aren't.

What a fabulous moving experience with PODS! Everyone from the sales team to the drivers were helpful and professional! We have done 5 separate moves over 12 months with 3 of our families moving from west coast to east coast!! I won't move unless it's with PODS! (Even filed a small damage claim due to torrential rain storm & POD leaked in these extreme conditions. I'd still ONLY use PODS)

PODS is the way to go. The entire process is easy and no red tape or fine print to worry about. Communication from ordering, drop off and pickup was flawless.

Clean unit and out of the way while we took our time filling the PODS unit. It made our move much easier, since I cant drive 2 Uhaul trucks at the same time 😀

Surprise price hike. They quoted me $1600 (Richmond to West Palm Beach). I made it clear that I still didn't have the final address but they assured me the price would not change that much. I called later to provide the zip code for the final delivery (Port St. Lucie) and the price went up to $4600! Port St Lucie is closer to Richmond than West Palm Beach. There is even a PODS facility in Port St Lucie, 10 mins from the address I provided. Makes no sense to me.

Friend paid for years of storage and insurance. Whole PODS storage molded. They got a sorry as compensation. It wasn't until they started raising hell that they got asked to submit a claim with photos. Water leaked into the pod at some point from where the mold is. Everything from the waist down, destroyed. Rodents also got into the pod, evidenced by objects that were gnawed on by tiny mouths. Religious items, family heirlooms, items that cannot be replaced because the people that made them are no longer with us. Items that were gifted to them by family members that are now gone. $31k they're out and their belongings were allegedly in a climate controlled storage. RIP memories. RIP priceless items. I want this to be seen. This is not the fault of the staff that work at the storage. This is the fault of the upper echelons of PODS doing the absolute bare minimum to ensure a maximum profit and banking on people not calling them on their insurance and policies.
Update: The ashes have been recovered.

I have a friend who is currently moving out to lowa. They deliberately said they could ship the container out there once she gave the go ahead. She kept the pod for 3 months at her house (300 a month) and they picked it up in July (still 300 a month) and now when we give the go ahead they tell us they cannot ship the container because it is too far away???? Now my friend is $1200 in the hole because of them and now she has to get all of her belongings out of the pod and PAY an actual moving company to move her stuff. I would not recommend these scam artist. If you are moving far DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Now this company keeps charging her account 300+ for said “moving container” to a field so she can back a U-Haul up to it. Take everything out of the pod to just put in a truck. To anyone thinking about using the guy for cross country, DONT STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY !!!

Worst company ever, our Pod was picked up and still sitting when my son was supposed to receive this week, now it will not be to their home for another 2 weeks!!!!!

Terrible service. Dropped pod off diagnolly across driveway. Called numerous times to have it moved. Was scheuled to be moved, never was. Picked up pod 3 weeks late after they rescheduled numerous times. Said they would credit account but being told account is behind. Never ever using again.
