“The Stony Creek post office has been around since the 1950's and the postmaster gave me some background of this small town hub of the community. The Masons built this structure and their insignia is displayed atop of the building. Not much else is nearby save a bank, the railroad tracks, a small park featuring a commemorative cannon, and a few other buildings and shops. It's such a tiny but friendly town! The postmaster and I talked about the price of stamps going up to $.60, and she said soon to be $.63, to which I responded that I still find it fascinating that the postal service can send a letter from one place to another for even that small price... I'll happily use the mail system for my letters, bills, thank you cards and greeting cards! The art of letter writing isn't dead after all!Hours: M-F 8:00-12:30, 1:30-4:30, Saturday 9:30-11:30.”

“The staff was very friendly and helped us greatly with our passport process! I can’t speak on delivery of mail since I’m not a resident of emporia, but the staff and service there was great! Thanks for all your help today !”
