“The hotel itself seemed new, or at least newly renovated. However, our shower head was already broken which made for a very awkward shower. The hallways of the floor we stayed on (4th) was also very hot. Location was pretty good, 20 min from Colonial Beach, which was our destination. Aside from all of that, all of the staff members we encountered were great, front desk, breakfast, cleaning, all wonderful. Thank you all!”

“This Hampton Inn set a very nice first impression of the area. We were up in the area attending a family wedding. My brother-in-law reserved a group of rooms for us to each book. The signage was easy to read from the street, the parking lot was very clean, and the hotel itself was very nice. We interacted with three staff members at the front desk during our stay on 10/21-10/22. They were all very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Our room was very nice. The temp was easy to regulate and I felt very safe here. When were came back to the hotel around 9 pm, the lighting was very good while allowed a few of us to stand outside and talk for a while. When we went inside there were tasty cookies packaged up for our eating pleasure. Checkout was a breeze and we're were able to grab some breakfast goodies to take with us on our ride home. If I am back in the area, I will definitely stay here.Rooms: Our room had a very comfortable king size bed and a loveseat with a nice ottoman. There was a microwave, hair dryer, etc. The room was odor free and very clean.Safety: As a former law enforcement officer I pay attention to this matter. Signage was well placed to see where to turn in to access the hotel. The parking lot lighting was very good. It was bright enough and well placed. The exterior did not appear to have blindspots or areas where criminal activity may occur, in other locations. The interior of the hotel was well lighted and the door locks seemed very secure.Food & drinks: The breakfast buffet had plenty of selections. There were packages of cookies when we returned that evening. They were very tasty. Coffee, tea, water was also available. There was also a nice little convience "store" at the front desk. No machines to have to bother with. Good selection of items also.”
