Elizabeth Mills Riverfront Park, also known as Basil Newman Park, is a beautiful mixed-use park along the Potomac River and Goose Creek. It is a big park featuring great walking trails that lead to the river, with easy access right to the river bed. The trails offer beautiful views, great opportunities for photo opportunities, and a great way to explore nature and wildlife. The path starts paved through a golf course before becoming a beautiful dirt path along the water with small hills, nothing too steep. The park has a boat launch, though kayak and canoe users must pay a parking fee. There is a long trail to walk your dog with plenty of room, and a big field. While there are no picnic tables in the park itself, there are lots of picnic areas with grills nearby. The park includes a great playground for kids. Restrooms are nearby but not part of the park. Reaching the parking lot requires going through a neighborhood, but it is open and worth the visit.

Beautiful dirt path along the Potomac River and Goose Creek. Starts off on a paved path through a golf course before reaching the dirt paths along the water. Small hills, nothing too steep. A couple of points doing the hike have easy paths down the embankment to the river/creek.

I was very impressed by the trails and the scenery. The trails were vast miles, but not treacherous whatsoever.
