Very pleasant experience! Joynal helped me with my passport application. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me! If you need a passport, this is the place to go! Staff was very friendly too!

Went here to deliver a package simple enough. The lady was so rude I ended up walking out and driving to Parcel Plus in Sterling

This is the worst postal system on the planet in one of wealthiest counties. Mailed a simple mother's day card on Wednesday before 5pm from the actual post office and almost a week later my mother still has not received it in Pittsburgh which only takes two days. Supervisor said it's not his problem once it leaves. Make sure if you EVER use this terrible place certify all mail because they will loose it. They also careless when delivering and I get mail to my residence in Leesburg with other addresses and names.

I visited the post office to send a package and wanted to get a shipping label in person rather than doing it online. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Gayle was not helpful and was rude and condescending when I asked for assistance. Her attitude made the process unnecessarily frustrating. I expected better customer service and left feeling dismissed and unwelcome. After not wanting to deal with her condescending tone I left to go to a different post office location.

Always a line - ALWAYS - but compared to the lying union slugs that work at the Aldie and Sully Station post offices, Leesburg is not so bad. The older black woman who sits at the end of the counter by the glass doors is probably the most efficient USPS employee I have ever dealt with. Too bad more aren't like her.

Absolutely the best post office! Everyone is so helpful from passports to dealing with legal service. Always helping me ensure I use the right thing! Thanks :)

I went to the downtown post office to ship an international package and was told to visit the Catoctin location for a larger box. When my coworker and I arrived, we asked the staff if a smaller box might work for most of the items. Instead of providing a clear answer, the employees looked confused and sent me to an older woman at the last desk.
From the start, she was dismissive and unprofessional. I explained I was shipping internationally, and instead of addressing my question, she just stared at me blankly. While I looked at smaller boxes, she began inspecting my package—a Bartesian cart with no alcohol. Rather than simply explaining postal regulations, she looked at me and snapped: “Well, I’m not shipping this for your silly little high school job.” Completely unnecessary and unprofessional.
I remained polite and even called my boss to clarify any concerns. When I asked if it would be helpful for her to speak with her, she rolled her eyes and rudely repeated that she refused service. I fully understand that post offices have their own policies, but the way she treated me—like a nuisance rather than a paying customer—was unacceptable. At that point I could have cared less about the package, more so being degraded and talked down to by a stranger. I know things get lost in translation, however that is not an excuse to treat people egregiously.
To make matters worse, when I later contacted customer service, they blamed me for “asking too many questions.” The only thing I asked was how to ship my package properly. Instead of providing guidance, they accused me of “escalating the situation” simply because I sought clarification.
If you expect even basic customer service, avoid this location. No one deserves to be treated like an inconvenience just for trying to do their job.

I worked years for Amazon delivering no criminal history and even got a high score on the usps rural carrier exam yet the very next day someone from HR sends a rejection email with no reply email or phone and no VALID reason given saying I’m ‘not qualified’ lol someone there must be smoking something - On what grounds why don’t you explain that! This place seems to discriminate against you even if you exceed the job qualifications obviously there’s very WRONG with whoever sent that email is sick in the head in the HR department what a disgusting place!

I was there to mail my renewal US passport and the Clark, who helped me was really helpful, and even sorted my documents after checking them.
She is an Asian nice lady, and I unfortunately didn’t get her name . Her stands is all the way on the left side.
I just moved to Leesburg, and so far my experience with this office is great.

I dropped by the Post Office on December 2nd (2024) - the Monday directly following Thanksgiving weekend - (I know, what was I thinking!?) The line was long but it moved incredibly quickly for the amount of people waiting. I have to say, all three employees at the windows were cordial, kind, and in good spirits despite the deluge of individuals waiting for their attention. They greeted each patron with warmth and kindness, asking about their day and how they could be helpful. When it came time for my transaction, they even provided additional delivery and packaging advice that helped me to save money and effort for future endeavors. Thank you to them for making what could have been a frustrating errand, much much more enjoyable.

I have always had no problems at this post office other than parking as the number of spots is limited.

I have not been receiving important pieces of mail recently. I am signed up for “Informed Delivery”. I have been expecting several important pieces of mail and I never get them. They have a bad habit of putting other units mail in the wrong box.
