“I’ve been going to Catoctin for years ! This last visit was a last minute “‘emergency “ one of my dogs developed a UTI very quickly and severe symptoms all night . I walked in as soon as they opened and they made sure they could see her within a few hours . Grateful for their help always !”
“I agree with Laura Burger. The staff and vets are nice and supportive, especially the staff, but I suspect the vets are overworked bc when I asked for an oral diagnosis of the lab results, it was less like being spoken to by a machine gun. The receipt wasn’t signed so I had to backtrack to buy special food at Chewy. Who knew? The vet and assts. Caused delays. Also, B12 was recommended for my cat who has lost almost 3 lbs., but offering a chewable on hand was never offered at the time of call. Taking care of a 12 yr. Old beloved cat is emotional for an 80 yr old person. I really do not feel that this vet realizes the need to be supportive to all pet owners. The. Front ofc staff are very supportive. Many thanks.”

Today I met a nice veterinarian Dr Fabrizi who took the time to explain to me the process of what kidney failure is and how can I make my cats life better. “Our Yorkie-poo was badly bitten by a neighbor’s Rottweiler and we rush him to this office for emergency care. The staff was extremely responsive to the needs of our boy and took him in immediately. They fully explained the treatment plan and potential outcomes. One of the staff members even texted me a photo of him so I could see how he was doing during his stay. He had multiple puncture wounds on his face and lost skin on his lower lip which needed surgery. Thank you for taking such good care of him. It has been 10 days and he is healing well.”

“Dr. Susan Conway gave us one of the hardest gifts you can ever receive… a peaceful goodbye.
Today was not an easy day. It was heavy, emotional, and full of love for a dog who meant everything to her family. Walking into something like that, you don’t know what to expect, especially when you’re meeting someone for the very first time in such a sacred, heartbreaking moment.
But Dr. Conway was extraordinary.
She was calm, gentle, and deeply present. Not rushed, not clinical… just human. She spoke softly, explained everything in a way that felt respectful and kind, and created a space where Remi could leave this world surrounded by peace and love.
There is something incredibly powerful about a veterinarian who understands that this moment is not just medical… it’s emotional, it’s sacred, and it stays with the people in that room forever.
I will never forget how she showed up today.
If you are ever faced with having to make this decision for a beloved dog, I cannot recommend Dr. Susan Conway enough. She brings compassion, dignity, and grace to a moment that needs all three.

They took great care of Jimmy and addressed all of my questions and concerns. We were able to identify a course of action in terms of a treatment plan moving forward. “I have been bringing my cat to vetco for 4 years now. Regular vet prices are ridiculously astronomical!! If my cat needs a Rabies shot and I bring her to a veterinarian practice,There would be a office visit charge and then charge me 2 to 3 times more to get a rabies shot then it would cost me at Vetco where there is not an office visit charge! So not only have I always had a good experience , To me it is a no brainer regarding pricing. I don't know about other situations when it comes to a cat's health , but if you need vaccinations , injections or just a general check up , you cannot beat Vetco for the money.”

“The entire staff at VCA treated our Loki with compassion and care when we had to take him in for undiagnosed diabetes. He had to stay four days in the ICU and either Dr. Reynolds or her staff at Internal Medicine gave us daily updates while Loki was receiving stabilizing treatment. They even followed up after we brought Loki home to ensure his diabetic treatment was working well, and adjusting his medicine dosage until Loki was fully stabilized. Thank you to Dr. Reynolds and the entire VCA staff for treating my fur baby with the utmost care!”
