i have used this u-haul so many times since just last year. i rented 2 vehicles and had a storage unit for 6 months. the facility is always spotless, especially the bathroom!! Gabriela (gm) & her team are experts in their field. they always answered all of my questions, and were very accommodating when it came to any needs. i am so appreciative of the consistently amazing and friendly service of all the staff. thank you so much for all that you do!!

When your tech discovered that the hitch you had was bent, you guys drove to another dealer and picked up a new one, rather than making me come back at another time.

This location has all new staff and they are awesome. I came here over a year ago and it's true - the staff was not great. HOWEVER, this is a whole new team and they work like a well-oiled machine. Also, this location is meticulously clean and they go above and beyond for their customers. Great attitudes, friendly service. This is why I keep coming back. You can back in to loading dock and easily transport your items with their carts (there are plenty). Last but not least, there's ample parking, easy to access air conditioned storage, clean bathrooms and free ice cold filtered water in the store so you can fill your water bottle/stay hydrated.

They charged me for fuel despite returning the truck at the same fuel level as received.

I decided to try and save money and have a hitch installed on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. I had an appointment for 12:00pm, I arrived about 12:03pm. I waited about 40 minutes before my vehicle was taken in to have the hitch installed. About an hour later it came out, wiring hanging only by the cap for the plug, the wiring was not properly run or secured. Completely unprofessional. I was well I'll fix it when I get home. Well, I get home and get underneath the vehicle to fix the poorly run wiring harness and discover a bolt missing. There are supposed to be 4 bolts not three. I drive back to the store and ask about it and the guy tells me it must have fell out. Fell out my ass. Either he never put it in or broke it on the install. I did hear someone make a statement that gave me the impression that he broke something. He came out and told me the weld was broke. Stated they could give me a claim to have it fixed at the dealer. I flat out asked him if he broke it and he denied it. I don't believe he's telling the truth. I absolutely DO NOT recommend having any hitch or similar installed at this place. Absolutely wasted my time. I will never return to this store, and I'm getting ready to move. I won't be buying supplies from this store either.

This review is specifically for truck/van rentals. My wife and I have now utilized this location twice in the past few months for van rentals to move/pick up furniture and everything has gone off without a hitch (no pun intended). Granted, we primarily utilize the Uhaul mobile app & website so our interaction with their employees is fairly minimal, albeit they've have always been friendly and made sure I was good to go (especially if they app wasn't cooperating). Easier it seems than having to depend on Home Depot's first come first serve vans, especially when the cost difference is marginal if you're using the rental for 3+ hours. I would advise, as with any company such as this, to get the best bang for your buck and rent your truck/van for the longest amount of time within the cost tier e.g. it's the same cost for renting for pretty much the length of the day vs. a couple hours. Otherwise, this location has a good diversity and availability of truck/van sizes at any given time compared to what I've noticed at other locations in the area. Vehicles are always clean and typically newer. Will use them again in the future.

Awful, from the first day. Didn't have the larger storage unit I reserved, so I got two small ones. They then tried to charge me for two locks. Then they billed for the locks again a month later, even though I was supposed to be charged for one, since I had reserved only one large unit. Then they charged me for my first month that was free, since I rented a truck from them. They forgot to put pads and other things in the truck, so I had to go back and get them. This place is a mess.

Not sure why these guys got all the negative reviews. I have rented from them twice recently and they were great. Both times everything was ready and they got me in and out with no fuss. I don't remember who helped me the first time but Brad helped most recently and was professional and courteous. I would go back again.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Customer service from Dimitrius was awful. No greeting, no courtesy, no class, and he purposefully mumbled his way through the checkout after I asked him to speak up some just to make it more inconvenient. In a word, unprofessional.

Probably the worst customer service I've experience with manager before. I believe her name was Teresa. I got a call from a guy from uhaul in the morning reminding me I had until 7pm to return the trailer I rented. Which I rent the trailer from uhaul every weekend for the past couples months and would have continued to except for the the call I got from Teresa the manager. Around 6pm she calls me stating I'm late to return the trailer and stating I would be charged for an additional day. I explained I spoke with a employee earlier letting me know I had until 7pm. She didn't even listen to what I had to say before stating there was no record of a call on file. Which I have proof of on my phone that there was. She came across very rude and with an attitude. As a manager it doesn't seem like she enjoys her job and this isn't the first time I've dealt with her. Even ruder in person had enough of the attitude will not be returning. I will find someone else to rent from every weekend. The company is only as good as there employees such a shame and bad name to uhaul.

If you want to rent from here, make sure you give them longest hours you need. The reason is if you are late a bit, they will double charge your rental fee. When I rent a truck, I asked one of employees what I should I do if I will be late and he told me I can simply call them. I told them I will return the truck at 7pm but my unload delayed and I returned truck about 25 min. late. She (manager) took about 10 min. for inspection and she double charged my rental fee. She told me there was a customer waiting a truck which she never mentioned to me when I rent or when she called me. If she told me she would charge double fee or a customer is waiting, I would rush to return. She simply ripped me off! She was rude, dishonest and unprofessional. I rented a truck a week earlier from U-Haul station at Manassas Park, VA. I returned a truck after their business hour and drop the key in the drop box. They emailed my bill next day and that was it. That how you do the business! So, if you must rent a truck or equipment from this U-Haul location, beware and protect yourself by giving them latest time you can possibly get from them. Otherwise, you let them take your money.

Prepare to wear slippers or booties when you rent... Rented a 26' truck. Picked the truck up telling them I would drive 75 miles. Brought the truck back with 72 miles on it, filled up the tank as per the contract and they still charged me $17 extra dollars for a cleaning fee. Now I only had the truck for less than a day and swept it out after use...they quoted dirt on the drivers side mat as why they charged me extra? Lesson is make sure you plan for frivolous charges to be added when you rent a truck from them unless you plan to use a toothbrush to clean after you're done. Do not rent from them unless you want to wear slippers while in the truck. There is no accepted amount of dirt allowed in the truck....whatsoever.

PLEASE BEWARE!!!!! Just had the worst moving out customer service experience ever. First let me start off with Teresa, the manager...very unprofessional, rude and makes up her own rules. I'm not sure why she works there because she seems to hate her job. I moved out of my storage unit today and had one item that I could not take with me. The item is a wood armoire wardrobe that was very expensive and in perfect condition. It's been barely used since it's been in storage for almost 5 years (with this Uhaul facility). I am unable to take it with me since I do not have room for it anymore. I also did not want to trash it since it's still in perfect condition and I'm sure someone else could use it. Uhaul has an area where they accept "gently used furnishings, apparel and other household items". So I decided to leave my armoire there for someone else to love it. Upon closing out Teresa informed me that I would be charged $50 (that amount eventually increased to $280...told you she makes up her own rules) to dispose the item. She then told me the item had to be able to fit in the "white box"(The white box that clearly says gently worn shoes and clothes only). I asked her to please show me in writing where it says the furnishing must fit in the white box or must be certain size or dimension. She replied "show me where it doesn't say that" (true story). I was in awe by her response so I requested the "rule" in writing again. I also reiterated what the Uhaul sign read. She again told me I would have to pay a disposal fee since "she" would have to pay to have the item disposed. I again reiterated that the Uhaul sign does not indicate the furnishing has to be a certain size and that it also says FREE. She then demanded the young lady assisting me to not close me out. I requested her manager's information to which she gave me her card and very rudely told me it was on the back of the card. By now I was very upset because I knew she was lying and not capable of producing any written correspondence that confirms her claims that obviously we're made up. And she's still refusing to close me out. We were at a stand-off. After I advised I would be placing a call to her management she finally directs the young lady to close me out and "e-list me" (not sure what that meant...) and also tells me she's gonna take a hammer to my amoire and get rid of it herself...(yep still a true story...I cannot make this up). If e-list me means to never allow me to be a customer of Uhaul after being a customer for almost 5 years...than go ahead...e-list me. I'm quite sure I'll be okay. There's 50 other storage places that I can use in the future and I'm positive will be happy to have me as a customer. And if she were smart (yeah I said it) she should put the item on CraigsList to make extra money. I originally wanted to put my amoire on CraigsList. Unfortunately I'm in a time crunch and have nowhere to store it until it's sold without paying another month of storage...and dealing with Teresa. No thank you. (I'm just saying). I ended up finally closing out and I called Wayne (manager) to describe my horrible experience. He agreed that the point of the share area is for exactly how I used it and advised me he would talk with Teresa. So PLEASE BE AWARE!!! If you're told there's a fee to "share" or "dispose" your gently used furnishing or other household items...do not fall for it. Please see pics to confirm.
