“Everytime we go to Whole Ox in Marshall VA, we are delighted with our purchases. Whole Ox is a sustainable butcher shop which has at least 100 naturally prepared items in addition to their grade A meats. From demi-glace to Bolagnese sauce and Gnocci and spinach cheese dip to go on and on.
There is seating for a wide range of sandwiches, salads, soups, deserts all prepared by local companies.
Best is the service provided by all the employees no matter what one asks for. Abby up front is particularly helpful and cheerful. I really can't recommend the Whole Ox enough although I'm fearful of this best kept secret getting out!”

“Popped in here for a drink while waiting for a table elsewhere. The bartender was nice and engaging. Told us about the place and the owners. Drinks were good but nothing to rave about. Their bourbon selection is good. Wish they had some bar snacks or something to munch on while drinking.

The owners allow service men and women to sign the ceiling with their rank, name and unit. Pretty cool to walk around reading all the messages from those that served this great nation. It’s worth it to stop in and see the ceiling if for nothing else.”
