Such an interesting place. 200 years of history in one location. I believe this is the oldest continuously operated grocery store. Sam or Sambo as my best friend who was raised here calls him, has 60 years of local knowledge and store entrepreneurship under his keen eyes. As a Oklahoma resident a constant thing to hear is “I know someone from Oklahoma.” This is true no matter I ride to. It was true with Sam as well. The selection is small here but not the history. Get a Coke and Candy bar and chat Sam up. You won’t be disappointed. The lazy Pug greeter will be your first stop.

Very nice old man that runs it. Loves to talk. In his 90's can tell you all about the area from times gone by. The store is over 200 years old.

All this must be said with a new York mafia accent They got your diesel fuel over here, They got you cold drinks over here, They got you regular gasoline over here, they got some good pizza! over here, They got your hot food and you cold food over here And if you're a trucker they've got showers over here And they actually do have some very nice people working for them stop in and say Hi

This place is the epitome of the old time, saw dust on the floor, country store. Not a lot of stuff, but it's perfect for a country community. It is my hope that these mom and pop community stores can make a come back and drown out some of these giant corporations that have killed so many small stores. This one in particular carried an item I was searching for and couldn't find at any large retail establishment. It may not be what you expect of a convenience store, but it's a simple reminder of a time before everything became hurried.

Loved the history, pickels, cheese, and people. How old is it? It needs a historical marker!
