It’s baffling to walk into Crate & Barrel at Tysons and see sales associates so disengaged. How exactly do you expect to make a sale if you don’t interact with the people standing right in front of you? At that point, why wouldn’t I just order online and make sure none of my money goes toward rewarding that level of service?

Stood in front of register for quite some time without any acknowledgement of any sort. There were at least 7 people in the register area. Lack of customer service skills.

Working with this Crate and Barrel has been an absolute nightmare. I bought a couch and at checkout the rep ordered us the wrong couch and charged my new crate and barrel card I got for the discounts and reward points. After hours of trying to fix it they just had us leave. A month later it is finally resolved and was credited back the extra $2000 I was charged.
I go to use my reward points from the couch today and the rep told me to use my new card for the rewards and instead charged me $450. She let me know my rewards can’t be used due to there new system and I’ll need to come back another time and refunded my amount.
Please avoid this place if you can there has been a ton of hours wasted on fixing these mistakes that were out of my control. Very unprofessional! Love there products but they are a mess internally!

The staff at this store have terrible attitudes and are not very friendly. I was looking for an item that I knew they had in stock, but they kept telling me they didn’t. Finally, I had to show them the SKU, and they admitted that they did have it in stock! If you can, I highly recommend going to the Arlington store instead.

Bought a fellow kettle from this store and found exactly the same model at Costco for $50 cheaper and they refuse to give me credit or let Let me return it.
Paid $179 at this store and at Costco $129.

I had one of the worst customer experiences here. I placed an order on September 2nd and never received any notification that it was ready for pickup. When I went to the store, first they told me someone had already picked it up, then changed their story and said the order was closed for some unknown reason. After waiting half an hour and speaking with multiple employees, they offered me the floor model instead.
The item had been on sale during Labor Day weekend, and at first they said they would honor that price. But in the end, they refused and told me I’d have to pay double the price since the sale was over. No apology, no accountability, just confusion and very poor management.
This kind of treatment is unacceptable. Extremely disorganized and frustrating — I would not recommend shopping here. Waste of such nice design store with poor management

Funny that I sat down on a chair for 10 seconds and a guy came to me and said “if you sit in this chair for too long you gotta buy it”. If this is actually the policy, put a sign next to it and define “too long” clearly

What an awful experience. In ordered something online, and I go to pick it up and it’s the wrong item.
The fair thing to do would be to waive the shipping. The manager Michael was zero help. Instead his solution was to charge me more for the same item. He kept blaming the system to not be able to help a repeat customer. Poorly run store.
The manager was also not to be found for extended period of time causing an unnecessary wait time.

The worst experience of my life buying furniture was at Crate & Barrel. I placed an order for 6 standard dining chairs in early February 2025 at the Tyson’s store with a sales associate. The expected delivery time was 3 months. It’s now end of June 2025 and after almost half a year of wait, I only received 5 chairs and I am told to wait another month for the last chair. No order updates were sent by the company during this whole waiting period and I had to call for update myself. Those calls were never helpful either because people didn’t seem to know when the order would actually be ready and shipped. Save yourself headache and buy instead from their competitors (i.e. Pottery Barn, RH). I had a much smoother experience with their competitors where I bought big pieces of furniture after the Crate & Barrel order and received better service, timely updates as well as furniture delivery in a very reasonable time (well before this Crate & Barrel order). Never buying from this company again!
