“Xcel Urgent Care has wonderful staff and is always quick to admit patients and triage them. Have been seen by Dr G numerous times here over the last 2 years. He is an excellent clinician and truly cares about your well being.
During a recent visit, I was sent to the hospital for further diagnostics. Dr G followed up after my visit, went through my outpatient report, and provided his own recommendations on top of the hospital.
Having been to other urgent cares in the DMV, there isn’t a place I feel better taken care of than Xcel Urgent Care.”

“I was really worried at first because of a previous bad experience at another lab—they overcharged me since I don’t have insurance. As soon as I entered Quest Diagnostics, I asked about the cost of my lab tests. A very kind lady helped me right away and told me the price without hesitation. When I mentioned I was looking for something more affordable, she kindly suggested checking Ulta Lab Tests online for better prices.
I appreciated her honesty and left to discuss it with my husband. He found the Ulta Lab website and sent me the link. I tried to register while still outside, but the process was a bit confusing and I couldn’t figure it all out. Since I had already taken the day off from work, I decided to just go back inside and get the tests done.
I asked for the lady I spoke with earlier, but she was on break. Another very helpful staff member said she could assist me. I explained everything to her, and she offered to help me right then. To my surprise, she entered all my test information and offered me a much lower price than expected. I was even more surprised when she said everything would be done right there at the same location!
I’m so thankful to both of the ladies who helped me. They made what started as a stressful day into a smooth and pleasant experience. I truly appreciate their kindness and support.”

“Our phlebotomist Jasmine was wonderfully patient with my nervous child. Although my daughter has to do regular blood work she is very hesitant and fearful. Jasmine is always so upbeat and understanding--she puts us both at ease. Plus she is GREAT with a needle and my daughter barely felt the poke. Thank you Jasmine! We will definitely recommend this Quest location in the future.”

“I live in md but was born in va. So getting a copy of my birth certificate is usually not easy on the fly, especially since there are still agencies closed to the public. I really needed it and it was quick and cheap. In MD it's $30 for my kids birth certificate each. VA is $12. ?. They are safe with social distancing and take your temperament at the entrance. I was done in less than 30 minutes.”

“Making an appointment online was super easy. I went in and was greeted right away, signed in, and was called within 5 mins. The young lady took me to the back and proceeded with the procedure of drawing my blood (I have small veins, so Im a little difficult). She found my vein on the first try, and I was in and out! The room isn't huge, so I would think they would have to have very experienced phlebotomist to get you in and out due to the amount of space. I would recommend this place to anyone. My experience was great!”

“My co-workers and I had been exposed to COVID. Granted this location was offering rapid tests as we needed one to get cleared to return to work. It was hectic. Like most medical offices, this location was understaffed. Totally understandable. I have no complaints in regards to that. However, it was a little packed inside with everyone trying to check in and wait to get tested. I think we spent a little bit over an hour from check in time to getting our test done. The woman who did my test apologized for the wait and said that they were understaffed. I told her not to worry. The turn around results was 1-2 hours which is understandable as well. No complaints honestly just the crowd.”
