Sales guy was decent..but went to sell my vehicle and the estimate was way less than I expected. Not to mention whoever drove my car dogged on it on the test drive l. I could feel the difference.Will not sell a car with CarMax again

Scheduled test drive online but had to wait 20+ minutes for someone to be available meanwhile about 10 employees around were desperately trying not to fall asleep at their computers.

We purchased a car here on February 3rd, 2024. My second time purchasing from a CarMax location as the first experience was seamless. The purchasing process itself was just OK, no complaints there.However, the day after we left with the car, noticed an issue we wanted looked at by the service department. Left them a voicemail and have yet to hear back 3 weeks later. About a week after leaving the VM, I received an email from the operations manager in response to a satisfaction survey I filled out, and had let them know the relatively minor issues found by our mechanic that we would like repaired. It has now been a week and I am no longer receiving responses from them either. We purchased MaxCare for this vehicle but will have to cancel as there is obviously no point paying into a repair program if the service department ignores you once you make a purchase.Overall extremely disappointed, but would possibly consider purchasing from a different CarMax location in the future. Just never Midlothian.

Had some work done at Carmax Service Center in Midlothian, VA for my rear axle brakes. Needless to say my service writer Jim, and his tech Dave did a fantastic job handling my situation. After a little mishap with dysfunctional parts (not their fault at all, stuff happens!) they were thorough in making sure my vehicle was in the best shape it could in be before walking out the door. I don’t see many reviews on here about their service so I wanted to commend them for their constant professional nature and integrity. Thanks again guys!

Low balled on offer for vehicle. According to kbb my car should of been worth more. They did not offer much.

Absolutely hands down the worst service department ever. Car comes back with damaged paint, never call back, say they do work that obviously wasn't done, not to mention just to get an oil change they schedule for 20-30 days out. DO NOT buy into thier service plan and expect the service team to do what the sales team promises! Lies.

My small business previously sold a vehicle to CarMax at the Glen Allen store, and the experience was very agreeable. However, when we attempted to sell a second vehicle, we were quoted one appraisal price onsite in Glen Allen, then two weeks later when we went back to sell the vehicle at the Midlothian store were told that the price was $2,400 less than what it was previously approved for (there had been no change to the vehicle). We were told that the original onsite appraisal done at the Glen Allen store was incorrect and that the appraiser had missed some completely obvious damage the first time. I did email our contact at the Glen Allen store on 01/18/24, but she has not, at the time of this writing, emailed back.
