“After driving hours and hours, finding a place like this that had very good, warm ready-to-go home cooked style food was amazing. The fried chicken was excellent in and of itself, but along with the green beans and apple cobbler that came with it, it was perfect! I also had a few meatballs and a piece of pie. The best ready-to-go food I've had in a long time, and all for around $13. Not bad at all. The service was very very friendly as well. I highly recommend this place!”

“Actually called the "Route 24 Grocery" now. Undergoing some renovations and a facelift. Nice place, very friendly service. Gas is a teensy bit expensive but it's all ethanol-free. For my biker brothers and sisters out there, ALL ETHANOL FREE GAS. It's a short hop (maybe 5.5 pleasant miles) from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Take the VA-24 East exit at Stewartsville. They have gas, convenience items, local honey and some produce (varies by the season -- as it should!) and some lawn/garden/flower things. Right now (Apr '18) they've got big flats of pansies on offer. Closing time seems to vary a little bit by traffic, but they're open until at least 6 daily. Old fashioned and quaint, this is a NON CHAIN convenience store/small grocery that's worth a visit.”

“This is a local family owned store. They have a wide selection of take home items such as beverages, canned foods, paper goods, automotive products, frozen foods, ice cream, cleaning products, automotive items, snack foods, and a great selection of produce, and local made jams and preserves. They also offer Shell gasoline, Tobacco products, VA state Lotto, Beer, and a great selection of Wine. They have a Deli, and hand dipped Ice Cream, a Taco Bell and Pizza Hut side of the store. They offer their neighborhood a local place to pay utility bills, and purchase money orders. In addition to this services they have seasonal services such as on the back side of the property are Green houses open during Spring and Summer offering flowers, shrubs, and vegetable plants. In October they offer a pumpkin patch in the front yard, and in December they have Christmas trees in the front yard. They are open seven (7) days a week, normally 6:30am to 10:30pm. The restrooms are large and always kept clean and well stocked, you can tell the family knows the importance of clean restrooms for their customers. This is a wonderful family owned business. The family serves the neighborhood wonderfully and we are lucky to have them.”

“It has a small parking lot, and the establishment, including the restroom, could be cleaner. But it is a beacon in the storm. It is the best place to stop after Roanoke if you're going north, and it is a great place to stop before Roanoke if you are going south. A plus to the small parking you don't have to deal with tractor-trailers, and we know that's a plus when our children need to stretch their legs. Be it 2 or 4. ?? ♀️”

“Last night November 26, 2021, I hit something the wind blew into the road around the corner from this market. The plastic object punctured my radiator and caused my car to leak antifreeze. I came around the corner and pulled over at the Roadside Market. I was an emotionally wreck after spending the holiday visiting family and my mothers grave (she passed away in August). Michelle is the sweetest and calmed me down. She made sure I was okay and that I had everything I needed”
