“We lived with them for 5 years! Started off in the one bedroom and bumped up to the two. Amazing experience with great staff and beautiful landscaping year round.”
“I called a few times on Wednesday inquiring about a two-bedroom apartment and a townhome because I couldn’t quite make up my mind. Each time I called, I spoke with someone different, and every person was incredibly thorough and patient with all of my questions. I even apologized for asking so many since I’ve never lived in the area before and it will be the two of us moving.
After reviewing the website and going over the different options, I’ve decided that a townhome will be the best fit for us. I just wanted to take a moment to thank the staff for such a pleasant and helpful experience on the phone. It truly made the decision process much easier!”
“The office people are very nice and helpful every time we have interacted with them. Maintenance were quick to respond to work orders, though prickly at times. All an all we have been here 3yrs with no want to move. Walls could feel thin at times with the louder nieghbors. Minor bug issue more outside then inside though.”
“I can only speak for myself, but me and my wife have had an all around good experience with our apartment/building. It’s possible we lucked out, and got great neighbors in our building, but we find that for the most part it’s a quiet and safe place to live for the cost (especially in Newport News.) Both of us really like Jasmine (the office worker) and greatly appreciate all of her efforts. She works very hard, and is kind, and has taken our concerns/issues seriously. which brings me to one thing I DON’T like about the complex currently: the workers are extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY, understaffed, to the point where it is detrimental for their employees and us as residents. Every-time I go to the office Jasmine is being BOMBARDED by tasks, complaints, etc, with no assistance or help. Other residents I know wait gratuitously prolonged periods for simple maintenance because only one tech is employed. This is a “higher up” issue, I have no qualms with Jasmine or Maintenance cause they can’t be 10 places at once.
But with that being said, me and my wife have had a pleasant experience here, and we hope to stick around for the awhile. We greatly appreciate the staff, and their hard work”
“My name is Tameka Madison. I am so happy to have the Manger I have in Sharps Landing. She is so kind, caring, friendly, and pays attend to things that need to be taking care of. I really know that she cares for the people in the community.”
“The apartments are located right near city center in Newport news which makes it a great area to explore. Port Warrick is about a 15 minute walk and they host concerts and mini-festivals during the summer and spring. The only downside I would say is that some of the residents leave trash in the stairwells, which is only cleaned up by the residents and not staff.”
“I have an easy time with rent payments, getting my mail, and living here overall. I have enough space to live here and the included washer and dryer in my unit is a godsend. Also, this is the only place that I have lived where the leasing office has open hours on Sunday. My only gripe is that inspections and maintenance visits don't have scheduled times, so I'm not always home when they happen.”
