The staff at the front desk were efficient and helpful. The car was in great shape and practically brand new. Process was quick and easy at checkout and return. Highly recommend Hertz at this location.

Usually hertz is good, but not this time. The Inside of the windshield was cleaned soo poorly and was so bad that when we hit street lights at night ot sunshine the next morning I could not see safely! Obviously we remedied that. Additionally, and possibly related, the car reeked of smoke…it should not have been in circulation… it felt disgusting. Very displeased with this rental. Lastly, no CarPlay which is nice to have for safer navigation.

Great customer service at the counter. I was able to skip the line being a Gold member and it only took them a few minutes to process my reservation and have me on my way. There were no surprise fees and the car was even nicer than what I reserved. I would definitely recommend Hertz and particularly the Hertz at Norfolk, VA airport.

I’ve rented from so many different US companies both nationally and internationally. But this office and my experience will forever stand out to me, thanks to the manager, Samantha. I had trouble with my Hertz ORF reservation pre-booked/paid via Expedia. Meaning, there was no reservation on their end after my booking through Expedia. Long 45 minute story short, multiple calls to Expedia, Samantha personally assisted and handled the situation with calm and grace to get to the root cause and helped to resolve. (unlike Expedia, an unbelievable nightmare) In the end, a new reservation was made on the spot for me, the same vehicle at the same rate and I was finally on my way. My review here won’t do my thankfulness justice, especially when other customers were around, but a stellar way to handle situations with calm and effectiveness.

I've never had this happen. Reservation was for a 3:30 pickup. Now an hour past the time we reserved all we hear is we don't have any keys. Lots of people waiting with us. I know it's not the fault of the guy behind the counter but this is crazy! I've traveled a lot and have never been to a rental car agency that took lots of reservations and can only say we don't have any keys. Wish there was a way to give less that one star. Back to Enterprise going forward!

I paid for a full-size pick up truck for five days within 24 hours. I had mechanical issues had to go back to the airport and told them I was having issues with the vehicle. I was told they had no vehicles available at the moment so I had to sit at the airport for almost 2 hours. Waiting to get a replacement vehicle not to mention when I first got the vehicle. I was there over two hours waiting for a vehicle to be ready so when they gave me a new vehicle, not only was it not what I paid for but it was a very, very unprofessional interaction with all the staff that was working the counter if you ever need to rent a vehicle at the Norfolk airport stay away from Hertz.

No stars. How about that HERTZ. NO STARS. Didn’t get the car I had rented. Got an upgrade , NOT!!!! Rented an SUV. Got a little 4 seater. Gas tank not even 3/4 full. Terrible customer service. Read some reviews below and other people were given a different car or told to wait. I wasn’t even given that luxury. And you can save the thank you for the review sorry you had a bad experience. We strive to get better. Obviously you aren’t doing to good of a job striving to get better.

Rental was process was easy, got a good price, and return was easy. BUT we got a rock chip in the windshield from a passing truck and overnight it became a crack. ZERO fault of my own. Now they are charging me for a new windshield. Ridiculous for something I could never prevent and should count as normal wear and tear.

Need to teach your staff how to tell time and give feed back. 1 hour is not 15 min. I waited and waited and no feed back.
