Rented and a returned a vehicle in accordance with my rental agreement. Continued to receive charges for a vehicle that was returned and parked in front of their location. Keys and rental agreement were returned to the key drop box. Unsure why I’m still receiving charges and why the return box isn’t checked….very frustrating and disappointing. Do not recommend this Hertz.

Nobody ever answers the damn phone here.My autopay never goes through, which is not their fault at all. But I call every week to authorize the payment, and it takes multiple calls to get anybody to answer.

I never left a bad review anywhere but had a bad experience with this location, we booked a 12 passenger van with hertz, prepaid with credit card almost a week before the pickup date, showed up that Friday to pick it up and was told they didn’t have the van (which was parked out front). Also was lied to from the manager who had a bothered attitude about her, about being told that we were called and left a voicemail, which was not true at all, no one from hertz contacted us about the car not being available, after debating with the desk workers about the call we never received, the manager who lied about making the call finally speaks up and says “I leave detailed messages”, after which we even showed call log and voicemail in which one of the men working there looked through, smiled and said he doesn’t see it either, but clearly didn’t want to upset his manager, after the conversation that went nowhere, we left without the van and/or help finding another van, I asked the man at the desk if I’m still getting charged, after which he told me i won’t be charged for anything, I sucked it up and left, despite the managers attitude and lies, about 3-4 days later a charge pops up on my credit card for an amount that doesn’t make sense, saying I’m being charged $86 from hertz. I gave it a day or two to see if the pending charge will go away before overreacting, to show up to hertz and the same bothered manager has an attitude with me asking why I’m charged, gave me no help, basically gave me a pamphlet and told me to go call the hertz line about getting my refund. The whole experience with hertz was unprofessional and disorganized across the board, it’s the last time I will attempt to rent a vehicle from them, atleast that specific location with that manager on North military highway in Norfolk, Virginia

This is the worst place ever to rent a car the whole crew all the employees they are impolite and not professional bad bad bad customer service I don’t recommend anybody it’s literally terrible service, bad experience ? their car so messy with a lot of mecanical issues it’s very dangerous they don’t care about safety

I reserved a confort eligible car, went to pick it up they gave me the worst car i've ever rent, old, smells bad, and not clean, plus the bumper was broken on the back side, plus it wasn't a confort eligible car and they charged me for a confort eligibal one, i took it because i had no choice then i called to change it and they said they don't have other cars,i don't recomend it.

A reservation doesn't mean they will have a car for you. I thought that's what a reservation was. Never again with this place.

I went through Uber to rent a vehicle and these folks were recommended by them. After getting the vehicle I was only permitted to deliver food which is enough to pay for the vehicle only. Uber stated they failed to upload the proper documents to allowed for ride share and Hertz said they did. Neither would talk to each other and I was stuck in the middle. GOOD LUCK trying to get a local person on the line there. If you do get one on the line BUY A LOTTERY TICKET!!!!!!!!!!

I called to check, after I reserved my vehicle, if I would be able to use my Visa debit card. I was told that as long as it was with a reputable bank that I would be able to use it. When I went to pick up the vehicle I was then told they would have to do a credit check and I would have to have a 650 credit score with a $500 deposit. I told my oldest son he called them and they told him that is their policy and I was told that when I contacted them from the beginning. They never told me any of that. So even if I do get my credit score up I will never use Hertz rental.

The worst experience ever. And the main reason for that, the manager! Highly rude, abrupt, argumentative and just nasty. I had cash to pay the deposit, not good enough. My roommates credit card not accepted even when I made him come to help me. She didn't want to help me at all. Yes, I did react to her stink eye! Yes I told her what I thought about her inept self. She's not a good Rep for Hertz! I'll never deal with them anymore..ever! All because of the way she handled me, and she was rude on the call I made for my rental to start. She would be best in a peopleless remote position in the wilderness! And she had the nerve to decline me a rental because I was giving her a piece of my mind.. I don't care! Now I'm going to get another rental with professionals..I'm sick and tired of being treated like they r doing u a favor. It's ur job and if you can't handle it, u need to goI do give my driver ?? and he was quite helpful, with a very pleasant attitude.

Do not bother making a reservation with Hertz, my wife and I landed at Norfolk airport at 2:30 and our 2:30 reservation is still NOT available at 4pm. The absolute worst service I’ve experienced in hundreds of car rentals in my life.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The worse!!!! Took an uber to rent a car and they would not accept my credit card. Talking about it had to be from major name credit card company. A credit card is a credit card as long as it pays. Shame on Hertz!!! I can see why the parking lot is full with cars and Enterprise has no cars available. Losers!!!

Been trying to “speak to a local employee” for the past hour and have just been hung up on. I’d rate it 0 stars but 1/5 was the lowest I could go. People calling you isn’t for pleasure, and it’s even worse when I can only get in contact with a machine and can’t even leave a message. My only hope is waiting 1-2 days for an email response. This is absurd and I feel crazy to expect the lowest amount of assistance of picking up the phone when customers call.

I was supposed pick a Tesla today Saturday October 7th around 9 am I made the booking a few days ago. The black guy at the counter said he called but that’s a LIE. No one called to say we don’t have any Teslas available. The car was already prepaid and the black guy is talking about we will give you another car for a different rate! What type of customer service is that !!!
