The Sail Nauticus team was awesome. Our company leadership team did a teambuilding event where we learned to sail together, and it was our best meeting yet. Great team building takeaways, amazing instruction, and we all walked away knowing how to sail! We will certainly be back. Knowledgeable and passionate crew over there.

Had a fantastic time with Sail Nauticus. Joined them on their weekly social sail. Matt, our captain, was knowledgeable and sociable. They even invited us for the evening potluck which was delightful. Whether you're just starting to learn, looking to improve your skills, or want to socialize with like minded sailors, you cant go wrong here.

Sail Nauticus is an outstanding organization that does a lot for the community! This past week I completed their Basic Keelboat course and had the pleasure of sailing with instructor Bob Malkin. He is absolutely fabulous with tons of sailing and powerboat experience! With most of his life spent on the water, he was able to tailor the course to my specific needs. He'd be an excellent fit for beginners just starting out to expert-level sailors looking to sharpen their skills! Five stars! Terrific organization, terrific instruction!Ask for Bob; he'll surpass all of your sailing needs!!

Awesome experience sailing in the harbor. What a great way to experience the area and support a great organization.Have a friend who's a member/instructor and she took my family out on an tour/lesson of the area. My kids crewed the larger sailboat which was much bigger and more stable than the one's I had tried as a college student back in California.Beautiful location in marina and great charity organization to teach kids to sail targeting middle schoolers of which my kids happen to be.

We attended a basic keelboat weekend certification with instructor Brandon McCrary. He was a great instructor. This was a great beginners course for anyone looking to get into sailing. Another pro is the waived initiation fee to become a sail Nauticus member. Members can schedule sail time to go out and practice crew skills with a captain. The membership give you great access to a local sailing network and community! Go check it out:)

What a fantastic organization! The mission is to teach inner city youth the joys of sailing, the life saving skill of swimming, wooden boat building in the winter.
Helping to support this mission is the great community sailing center. This part of Sail Nauticus involves adults if all ages in a multitude of sailing activities. From Monday night races to moonlight cruises. A long list of sailing classes led by great instructors.
The best part is the overall feeling of belonging to a great club of people who live to sail and have fun.
The boats are the best! Harbor 20s are state of the art small racing/cruising boats, rigged and waiting on the dock.
Come sail with us. This is a very warm and receptive organization.
If you sail or ever thought you might like to learn this is the place to do it.

I love the new Frost Bite racing series and working at the center has been equally as rewarding! The center is growing and there are plenty of opportunities for new and experienced sailors alike. This is the place to watch over the next few years and offers an excellent value for all participants. The organization recently acquired the schooner Virginia and it would be magical to see it transformed into an educational training vessel for high school students.

I'm a second year member... Sail Nauticus is a non-profit Community Sailing center focusing on an Academy for school age kids with a number of options for adults as well. Different racing series throughout the week, instructional classes on and off the water, periodic social events, monthly full moon sails, there is always something fun going on at Sail Nauticus. Growing fleet of 10 Harbor20 sailboats. New docks are being installed to facilitate year round sailing. The staff is excellent and fun to work with.

I took a 2-hour sail-about with Kelsey, one of the instructors. It'd been 9 years since I had handled a sailboat. What a fun way to knock off the rust! The boats are clean and well maintained, as is the safety equipment. This is a great way to enjoy a visit to the Norfolk/Portsmouth area.
