“Had our kitten spayed at Prevent A Litter and can’t recommend them enough! The staff were kind and helpful- they did a great job of explaining aftercare and scheduling coordination. The prices cannot be beat either. Prevent a Litter is a wonderful operation that greatly benefits the RVA community.”
“Great park with tons of activities. Lots of cool and novel equipment for the kids to play and learn on. This is not your cookie cutter park straight of of a catalog. This park is fully fenced in so kids can have thier freedom and a smattering of things for all ages and abilities.”
“I have been bringing my animals here for more than 10 years for spay/ and or neuter and first vaccines. They have wonderful prices and the staff is always wonderful with our fur babies. All animals always healed properly and never had issues after surgery. Very affordable. Thank you for all y'all do. ??⬛????”
“Joining this YMCA might be the best decision I've made since moving to Richmond. Super clean, great pool, and everybody is so friendly, staff and members alike. I also love that I can go to any Y with my membership, has come in handy while traveling or even just checking out the other Ys in Richmond.”
“This shop is ran by the sweetest ladies ever! So organized and I never leave empty handed. Especially with such amazing, actual thrift store prices! I always donate here, and know that everything is going to a great cause and back into my community!”
“Our kids love the kitty room! The day we went there were three cats, and each of the three kids attached to one. It really helped as they've been processing the disappearance of our family's cat.”
“I couldn’t believe my good fortune in finding this co-op! Such a great mission and it’s a great way to meet new bike friends and to learn how to wrench on your bike at the same time. Everyone is a volunteer, so there’s no one pushing to sell you something. I came in there wanting to change out my drop handlebar for a flat bar. Sounds easy, but was really quite a project. I worked with Luke, a 20+ year bike tech veteran. He was a patient teacher and I learned a lot. He was also an inventive problem solver. There were a few times when I thought we were at a standstill and then Luke would magically pull out just the right part from the endless bins-of donated parts just waiting for the exact right application to have a second life. If you’re a fan of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, and love “talking shop” about bikes, you have to check this place out. They even have a legit commercial espresso machine to keep everyone’s spirits high!”
“This is a really cool place for those who like to craft on a budget. If you need it, they probably have it, and the prices are super low. Not in the greatest section of town, I wouldn't go after dark, and parking is limited, but worth the trip!”
“This place has some of the best staff I've ever seen. The people who is/was here staying in the other rooms are amazing. My stay was absolutely amazing. Everything was so clean and organized. The staff really take care of this place. Much love from Darrel Mindy and Peyton.”

“The absolutely kindest staff! Myself and a few other new recruits stopped in on the way to basic and we were like kids in a candy store! They were so nice about answering our questions and made sure we were comfortable. The USO is my new favorite part of being active duty!”
“The Richmond Fencing Club is amazing! Friendly, welcoming, very spacious and well equipped. So glad I stopped by to visit, and I can't wait to join! Looking forward to taking epee classes this February. Cheers!”
“The par-3 course is an easy walk and one of the few golf options in the city. The driving range gets busy on a nice day, but again, a product of limited public golf options nearby”
“10 weeks in which you can enjoy all the CAMP BAKER activities, my favorite will be Camp Fire, the camping experience is not complete without a campfire eating marshmallows with your friends from various parts of America”
“Purchased a dishwasher, new in box for a third of cost. They have used everything too. Doors, cabinets etc and all kinds of household items and appliances. Tools, paint, flooring. But if you see it buy it! Too great a price to hold out. Never know what you might find.”
“While I really appreciate everything Goodwill does for the community, and I love how clean and organized this location is, I’ve noticed some concerns with the pricing and condition of certain items. At times, I’ve come across things that are visibly damaged (like broken frames or toys) and still priced in a way that doesn’t reflect their condition.
I completely understand that some pricing guidelines are set across the board, but I don’t feel this should apply to items that are clearly damaged. Broken items either need to be discounted accordingly or not put on the sales floor at all, especially when safety could be an issue for kids’ things.
On a positive note, I’ve never had anything less than a wonderful interaction with the staff here. Overall, I do enjoy shopping at this Goodwill and value the mission behind it. I hope this feedback can help keep the experience affordable and fair for everyone.”

“Absolutely the friendliest and best staff. A wonderful family environment and atmosphere. Love this place. The renovations for part 1 are almost done and it is absolutely amazing for the children”
“I participated in a volunteer activity at the ToolBank where we (in groups of three) built four picnic tables to be placed in the community. While I'm sure the highly skilled people running the bank could have built the same picnic table in 20 minutes that took us three hours, this was an excellent team building activity and was a lot of fun. I learned a good bit about using different tools and I felt a great sense of accomplishment at the end. They also sell kits to make the picnic tables at your own home, and then place in the community.I had no idea that the ToolBank existed, and will definitely use them for future needs for my nonprofit. I even noticed folding chairs, tables, and coolers. Will definitely use them for any and all event hosting.”
“Just joined and outside of the limited hours, this is a great gym. I like the hatha yoga class with Gary, and even at peak hours there's enough space to keep moving.”
“Since joining the MBL I’ve gained access to resources I would have never known existed for a micro business like myself. I am so pleased with the results and will be coming up on my one year anniversary soon!”
“I've stopped here a few years back when they had vegetable sales and/or a special event (selling food). They showed me their list of programs for helping people in the community and I was very impressed. The building, parking lot and gardens are always in top condition.”

“Walking into the Manchester YMCA feels like stepping into a healthier version of Cheers, where everyone knows your name and makes you feel right at home. Just like Norm's warm welcome at the bar, the staff and members at the YMCA greet you with friendly smiles and genuine enthusiasm. The supportive community, private trainer, and fitness classes create an environment where you can thrive both physically and mentally. It's a place where you belong, and every visit feels like coming home.”
